The Friends of the Malloy/Jordan East Winston Heritage Center can boasts at being the oldest organized friends of the library in Forsyth County. In the 1950's. Afrocam American residents organized this forum to support the library in their resources for the community. Still operating today, the friends group is renewed and ready to continue to be a strong supporter and advocate for the libarary and it's endeavors.
The purpose of this organization shall be to create an association of people interested in books and libraries; to focus public attention on library facilities, services and needs; and to stimulate gifts of books, magazines, and desirable collections.
