You are absolutely entitled to charge (too much in this case) for your used cars, but the experience I shared today with my family with the Used Car Sales Mgr and his sales rep was beyond acceptable. 1. Greet your Customer Properly. When a potential customer arrives, they are not their to "sing", "shuck and jive", or mess around. If your idea of warming them up is any of these things... strike one. 2. Get the price right. I already stated your prices are marked on the hide side. When a customer asks, "What will you take for this?" Answer them... don't play stump the chump. You are in business to make money, that I understand, but snake-oil sales men went out in the 80's... "what are you willing to pay" went out some time ago. 3. Sales Managers should be professional. When you approach, don't keep playing the game. Get to the bottom line and be professional about it. Then, when you are asked to stop, don't get attitude, and murmor and show your rear with your employee. have you forgotten how we are in a connected world. My advice, take some lessons from your Service Department. They have do an awesome job. Either that, or go work at Taco Bell, because what I experienced today is NOT at all what I want to do business with... you see I have choices as well and if you do a good job, I may tell 5 people, but when you act this way, I will ensure thousands hear about it.

After purchasing a vehicle and having it serviced at this dealership I never intend on returning. I bought my truck used in July. The first problem I encountered was the truck had a bad battery. To the dealerships credit, they replaced that at no charge. Then I drove the truck to NC. There, the exhaust fell off. A couple of weeks later I took the truck in for an oil change (to the dealership). Well I had bought the truck with 119,xxx miles on it but they didn't have the records of the 120,000 mile service being completed even though the salesman and sales manager had indicated when I purchased the truck that it had been done. After spending another thousand dollars, I got the truck back only to have the check engine light come on a mile down the road. When I took the truck back and asked the service manager about it he said it wasn't their fault. This despite that the check engine light hadn't been on at all before bringing it in. They wouldn't even diagnose the problem without charging me. Then yesterday while driving the truck, my front wheels started making noises. It turned out that I had to replace the wheel rotors. While replacing them I realized that the truck was missing a lug nut and a lug nut stud. This isn't something that just comes off. Now I realize that you have to perform maintenance on a vehicle but the large amount that I've had to do on this truck in a relatively short time is an indication that they sold me a vehicle that hadn't been inspected by their service technicians. Either that or their service guys don't know what they are doing. Either way, I will no longer be shopping for vehicles from them or having service on my vehicles performed at their location. I contacted them yesterday only to be called today by the sales manager basically saying that it is my fault that they sold me a lemon. I see it as they should stand behind their product and their inability to do so makes them a questionable place to do business with as well as reprehensible.

Usually you don't think of a dealer who looks out for the customer. But with all the other dealers i have dealt with i ended up buying two cars from Mama's and both times they got me the car i wanted, at the deal i needed. My next car or ruck will be from them.

Run down little shack with salesmen who lazily attempt to make a lot of money off of customers by being dishonest and unrealistic about the conditions of their vehicles.

My experience with Palmetto Ford was very positive. Bill Pappas handled our purchase of a Ford Escape and was a pleasure to deal with. Ron in the finance area was also very professional and low-pressure. I'd definitely do business with them again!
