WHY FINANCIAL SERVICES?
I was building homes in the 70's. I got my general contractors license in 1975 and the first home I built was for my parents. They bought a six acre lot in the mountains in a gated community. It was their dream home. They poured everything they had into it. Mom and Dad designed it. Mom did all the interior design, picking the wall paper, paint, floor coverings, etc. They outfitted it with all new furnishings. They had a wrap around deck to take in the view of the mountains and the Salt Lake Valley. Mom called it her year round Christmas tree because of the twinkling lights in the city at night.
They moved in and had been living there for about a year. Dad was 48 at the time and was playing basketball one night where he had a massive heart attack and died right there on the floor. He left Mom with no life insurance, no savings and no retirement. They were like most of middle income America in that they knew nothing about money. How to make it work for them. What to do and how to do it. So Mom had to sell her dream home. It meant the world to her. All the furnishings, the cars. Then she had to get a job. She had always been a stay at home mom with us kids. I watched her go thru hell because of their lack of understanding about money. It's now 40 years later and she couldn't get by without our help. Not understanding how money works, how to invest and how to save, these things have life-long consequences for good or bad.
Well, about 5 years later my best friend approached me about a company that was teaching the strategies and solutions of how to win the money game to Middle Income America when the large brokerages refused to work with anyone having less than several hundred thousand dollars of investable assets.. I literally got tears in my eyes during his presentation because I just kept thinking, if Mom and Dad only knew these concepts then Mom wouldn't have had to go through what she has.
I went to work with him in that firm not because I wanted to change careers, or to make a lot of money, but because I was PASSIONATE about teaching people these concepts. I wanted EVERYONE I knew to know how to handle their money and learn how to make it work for them.
I have been on a crusade ever since to teach people the strategies and solutions to help them win the money game. It is my passion. It is my life.
I currently have well over 2500 customers in six states and Puerto Rico because I put them first 100% of the time. I treat their money as if it were my own. The word spreads when you provide excellent service and fill a great need in the process.
To this day I love what I do and have no desire to retire. I look forward to work every day because all I do is help people, and the more people I help the more money I make. That is a win, win in my book.
