I made an appointment to have a tooth filled after getting a root canal. I showed up for the appointment that I scheduled. The office manager, Riva told me that my appointment was cancelled because I failed to contact their office before 1:00pm that day. I was NEVER contacted and told to contact their office by 1:00pm that day. So, they had a paying customer that showed up on time for the appointment she made, and they sent me away. You have to wonder if businesses want business.?. I decided to call the next day in hopes of speaking with Dr. Bello about this situation. Riva answered and told me that Dr. Bello was unavailable. I let Riva know how upset I was about my appointment being cancelled, and the fact that no one bothered to call and tell me before I left work early. Riva informed me that the fill-in dentist they had in the office the day of my appointment was unable to complete the service I needed anyway. So, it appears that Manhattan Dental made an appointment with me for a specific service, when I showed up for the service, the dentist was unable to complete the service, so they cancel my appointment without informing me. Luckily, I contacted the wonderful dentist that my sons have used for many years. I got an appointment the same day, he filled my tooth, and treated me with care and courtesy. I will never go back to Manhattan Dental in Pearland. Oh, and one more thing...I had the root canal on this tooth done with a very good endodontist in Pearland. He informed me that a crown that was previously done for me at Manhattan Dental within the past few years was not done well, so I now need a root canal for that tooth. Poor service. I will never go there again.

I would give them six stars if i could. They make you feel at home, comfortable and help with kids who have never been to the dentist. From an early age kids get traumatized of the dentist. but here they made all the kids I've seen feel comfortable and welcome. Kids love Dr. Bello and the assistants! Wendy and the rest of the crew are really nice and they are there to answer any questions you have. Dr. Bello is understanding and will always fix any issues that may come up. all you have to do is cooperate, I've had my braces done here, my mother has come here my aunts, uncles, cousins, and even family friends and they all love it here. Once my insurance did not cover a certain thing but Dr. Bello. Gave me a really good deal since the insurance was being hard. There is no interest and her plans are Flat rate! I could actually afford treatment since I didn't have to pay interest or any hidden fees. the staff explains everything to the best of their abilities and even when there is HUMAN error they try and make the patients happy. I have been coming to this dentist for almost a decade. Recommend Them 100%

Don't let One bad review take away from the literally 30+ 5 Star ratings she has been given on ZocDoc. If you Cooperate Dr. Bello will always find a way to fix any problems you might have. Once my insurance was being difficult and said I had payments due. but after ONE PHONE CALL, I realized Manhattan dental had nothing to do with it. I simply canceled my insurance and got a better one. Sometimes your problems are fixed by your own will. POSTING A NEGATIVE REVIEW won't change the fact your insurance sucks. Dr. Bello Gives you the best service she can, THREE Dental Licenses Plenty of certifications. and my 60 yo mom can Smile again because Dr. Bello Does Implants which made my mother overjoyed to have teeth again. She is more than qualified to do her job and there is not a single thing anyone can say negatively about her work. There might be problems with payments like a review before me mentioned but you don't hear them complain about how GREAT the work was done. I've been coming to this office for a long time and I know Dr. Bello. She talks to you and genuinely cares about you. and I am going to say it again. her work, better than any dentist in Texas, why do you think she was awarded best dentist in Houston Texas? I've seen patients Cry with joy because Dr. Bello helped them smile again. Dr. Bello even told my mother and me once how an older lady cried and hugged her for a good 5 min because Dr. Bello helped her smile again. she had us in tears. She REALLY CARES about you. "It's not about the money. It's about that smile the patients give when they love their work" - Dr. Bello RECOMMEND this doctor. For first time patients and even people who haven't gone to the dentist in a decade. This Doctor will take Great care of you.

The dentist was very nice and efficient. The staff were nice and was very attentive to our comfort. I felt right at home like I've been going there my whole life. Not only were they professional I felt valued as a customer. I look foward to returning there for my follow up treatment!

I strongly DISCOURAGE anyone from using the Manhattan Dental office. I went in for a routine cleaning and the doctor told me I had many cavities (not a surprise, unfortunately I have not been to the dentist in years). The doctor cleaned my teeth and broke down a treatment plan. She told me I needed several fillings and that one was so severe it might need to be a root canal. I was informed of what I root canal was and I also needed new retainers. For everything I was quoted $640 with $400 going towards my retainer and my yearly deductible being taken out. We agreed on a day for me to return and begin my treatment. On the morning of my appointment I arrived and was given a shot to numb the area of my mouth they would be working on. I began shaking and they asked me if I had eaten, I said no. They then informed me that the numbing shot they gave me drops your blood pressure and that I should have eaten. I was never informed of this and this should have been the first sign of their poor communication. I brushed it off, they accidentally forgot to tell me no biggie. The doctor informs me I do indeed need a root canal and I need to come back for further treatment. On my second visit I was informed that I owed $120 (second sign of poor office personnel) because THEY had entered the wrong code and accidentally quoted me for silver fillings not clear and I owed the difference. No ma'am, that error is not my fault. The doctor informed me I was not responsible for the difference after I got into an altercation with the front desk girl, Genisis, and she could not explain to me where the $120 came from. She simply handed me a piece of paper and said "you owe $120". She could not break down for me where that $120 came from and came off as extremely uneducated. None the less I do appreciate Dr. Bello and her work so I decided to stay. Came back and had the root canal done. I now need a crown, for the crown I was quoted $296. Fine. I received a call about two days later where the girl then told me "I cannot give you an exact price on the root canal because your payment hasn't processed with the insurance" I found this a little odd so I decided to call my insurance provider myself. I was on the phone for TWO MINUTES and got the information I needed. My insurance paid out $1,120.20 and I have a $1,500 ceiling. Third grade math tells me I have 379.80 left so if it is truly $296 that they are charging me I should be covered. So one of two things, they are liars who nickel and dime you. Or they're lazy and can't make a 2 minute phone call. This is a summary of the nightmare I had. DO NOT GO HERE!!
