Thank you So much for proving my point on Greed and Ignorance. Today I was told by the Manitou Springs Parking office person that I was Not Allowed to park at the Prospect Parking lot. Umm. Excuse me. He did offer to have me Pay EXTRA TO GET ANOTHER PARKING PERMIT. I do not apologize for the words I said to the office.I am sure I am Not the Only One who gets Parking violations because clearly these people don't know their own lots, rules, etc.
I was at the manitou beer festival there was a parking enforcement female in car with 4349on it. I was trying to ask her a question. She sped through a crosswalk splitting two groups of people almosthitting. Showing her hand giving a call me jester. Extremely rude and very unprofessional. Need people who are helpful not power hungry and rude.
Never answer my calls or emails, and won’t ever call me back when I leave a message. They were supposed to refund me for parking at Barr camp. Been more than a month, and nobody is helping me

Always a terrible experience with these people. Customer service is not anything they excel at… manitou needs to do better. As a local who lives and works here, I am disgusted that these are the people running/monitoring our streets. Just a bunch of power hungry fools… DO BETTER MANITOU
The meter maid gave the plumbing company a ticket for blocking a narrow road while delivering a 80 gallon water heater to a residence with no hot water. Top notch service there guy.
Intentional obscure parking regulations designed to confuse so they can fine you. Is overnight parking allowed? Who knows, they don't say. Spots require you pay at a meter but the meters are turned off at 6:00 pm.
We just returned from our trip to Manitou Springs and parked in the paid parking with our 24 foot RV that according to their signs said up to 24 foot RV allowed. The parking attendant told us to purchase a ticket to park which we did. It asked for our license plate which we put in and it calculated the charge for 2 hours which was 6.00. When we returned 1:30 minutes later, we were greeted by a "Violation" on our windshield because we had taken 2 parking spots! Huh...So...the system isn't smart enough to read your license plate to determine you owe extra money for 2 spaces and apparently the parking attendant isn't either. The least they could do is put that on the RV parking sign somewhere. My thoughts are this is a scam to make money off of tourists. Which is apparently working, because even the parking attendant was apologetic. Beware if you have an RV and want to park it in their lot!
Don’t hand your city over to the Broadmoor and maybe you wouldn’t have to charge $5/hour for parking just to make a penny. Gouge tourists, not locals.
I have been to this office twice in the past week. Staff is very friendly and efficient.
