I'm currently living at the shops at legacy in legacy village apartment homes and I hate it so much.. I went to Mapleshade park apartment to check them out and fell in love with the staff and apartments.. I was literally gonna cry in the office if my boyfriend and I were not going to get excepted! But we did and we move in July 26 or maybe sooner and I can't not wait.. if your looking for a more homey apartment this is the place to go. Staff makes you feel right at home too.. if I could give 100 stars I would but 5 is the most I can give

Living in this community for six years is testimony to my exemplary rating.  This is apartment living that feels "like home".  Mapleshade Park  is a quality community that is both upscale and secure.  The friendly staff is customer-service oriented and sincerely cares about it's residents. I entertain frequently, and my guests are highly complementary of the property and my home.

I just moved out of the Mapleshade Park apartment community in Dallas, Texas. Since I moved in I have had small comments and issues brought up by the management for absolutely no reason. I was threatened over noise violations with no formal complaints by former property manager Melissa. Maintenance calls were made and were answered hesitantly with blank threats with no formal complaint. I truly believe this is due to my age (22). Under the Equal Housing contracts that this property takes integrity in, I feel as if my rights have been violated. I moved out of this property on December 4th (Sunday). The Mapleshade office is closed on Sundays and I was threatened by Assistant Manager Jennifer Price to have an extra day of rent and utilities charged. In addition to Jennifer's threats. The property has an overly strict trash policy. I carefully bagged all trash and left it in an appropriate location.  Jennifer charged me $25 a bag for 9 bags. The property also locks their dumpsters. I had no choice but to leave it or to suffer their trash fines.In addition to their cleaning charge of $85. I had the apartment professionally cleaned and I have proof of receipt. I graciously left canned foods, nice clothing, and tasteful decorations on the counters for the maintenance crews that have taken wonderful care of me. I did not want the items to go to waste and I was charged for them even with my good intent. In total I was charged $360 in fees that I do not deserve. I have been a good resident and caused no issues. But the property management has attempted time and time again to cause an issue with me. I hope to hear back and resolve these issues.

I accepted a new job in the area and was looking for a comfortable place to rent, having sold my home of 29 years.  Home is important to me and I was having a difficult time finding what I "really wanted".  So, I asked my new boss for a referral and she suggested I take a look at Mapleshade Park Apartments.  The day I first drove on the campus, they had already closed the office for the day,  so I just sat in the parking lot feeling very at home already.  The next day on my lunch break I returned, viewed the campus and models, and made my deposit that very day.  I waited for a first floor apartment to come available, for it to be remodeled, and never have I been so excited about a move.  My very new apartment was beautiful, very comfortable, and the management and maintenance staff made my initial weeks warm and feeling very welcome as a new tenant.  
As you may expect, there were a few new move in maintenance issues which were immediately remedied by a very capable and kind staff.  
The 6 neighbors I have met,  have been just as warm and welcoming and 2/3 of them have lived in the complex for 2 or more years.
I love my sanctuary, my home, my castle.  
You want a great place to call home?  I heartily recommend Mapleshade Park Apartments.

I really enjoy living at Mapleshade Park.  It's a great location with easy access to major highways and byways.  In my short time here, I have met several neat people.  I also like the fact that it is not a large complex and  since I'm on the 1st floor, I have the feeling of being in a small home.  I also love having 2 one car garages!  The  bedroom closet space is wonderful  and the updated features i.e. granite counters, stainless appliances and  floors are nice features.  I have found Jessica to be respectful and responsive to my requests for maintenance and other issues.  She has been receptive to my suggestions and comments and has made some of the changes I suggested.

Jesse, who handles the maintenance, is "Johnny on the spot" when it comes to addressing and resolving the problem.  He always has a smile on his face and a hearty wave when I see him around the complex.  I look forward to enjoying my new home.
