Mrs. Macduffie has had a profound impact on me and my family. I am a 38 year old male with a history of opiate addiction and early childhood trauma. I was referred by my PCP who had personally screened and selected Mrs. Macduffie. I had some prejudice regarding mental health practitioners that prevented me from honestly seeking counsel earlier in my life. I also serve as a preaching minister of a local church so it was imperative that I began to experience real healing as my influence locally became greater. It was clear early on that she would not be fooled easily which was important for someone who cared about what others thought of him. I also knew there was nothing I could share with her that she hadn't seen before, given her background. It was clear that she was a good fit for me and our sessions began seeing fruit within the first 2 visits. She even had a free session with my wife to provide some context to what I was going through. This was huge for me and laid the groundwork for what would unfold the next 12 months. Once I began seeing results I became highly motivated which allowed her to treat the causes of my negative behaviors, far beyond the behaviors themselves. It became clear that addictions, anxiety, depression, were symptoms of a deeper struggle that I wasn't even conscious of. She took the time to gain a better understanding of my worldview which is different than hers. This allowed her to effectively treat me individually through my own paradigm without imposing hers. This made me much more comfortable and accessible, accelerating results. After several months we even invited my parents to join us with the motive of helping me fill in some memory gaps in my timeline. Under her guidance and protection, my parents felt comfortable enough to share things that I had no knowledge of, but had effected me my whole life. The healing these sessions provided was something I could have not fathomed when I first met her. Reading this you may think this sounds over the top, but its the truth. The results of her treatment (and Gods involvement) have transformed the dynamics of my life and family forever. Not just my immediate family, the intergenerational relationships of my extended family. If you are hurting and are motivated, I recommend seeking her counsel. Especially if you have experienced trauma (real or perceived) or struggle with any kind of compulsive behavior.
