After working for other salons in New Windsor, NY for eight years Margherita opened The Hair Zone in 1991 in her home. This was done so she could care for her newborn while starting the business of her dreams. In five years Margherita’s Hair Zone out-grew her home so she opened a larger Hair Zone in New Windsor, NY. This new salon was successful and displayed Margherita’s passion for hair while achieving the family atmosphere she strived for.
On her way to work one day in 2001, Margherita noticed an old house for sale. She thought this would be a great opportunity to own her building and make her salon distinct. After a total renovation she moved to her current location at 293 Windsor Highway in New Windsor, NY. This move fulfilled the dream Margherita had to create a feeling of home in new shop.
