We've used Marin Door to Door for at least 3-4 times and it was great the first few times when the driver was John (don't know his last name). However, in the last 2 times we've used it was not a good experience. The driver was not helpful at all. On our return we had to wait for more than an hour for us to be picked up, although we've called as soon as we got off the plane and picked up our luggages. In addition, we had to wait in a designated smoking area which affected my husband due to his asthma. We found out that we had to wait for another passenger who's flight was arriving 1.5 hour after our flight. We could understand if we had to share the van with a passenger who's flight is no more than 15 minutes interval but 1.5 hours in interval is too long for a wait. We could have just taken the Airporter if that was the case. We decided not to use it again if it were a shared van with different passengers. It is convenient if you are traveling with a group having the same flight.

Indeed, this was the worst car service ever. Upon arrrival we called the number given - the driver showed up 45 minutes later. Part of the drive to our destination was in stop go traffic but the driver felt it necessary to step on the gas to advance a few feet and then step on the brake for about 25 minutes - it was extremely uncomfortable - since there were no windows we could open, we asked to have some air which he reluctantly turned on. He did not know the destination address and pulled over (while complaining loudly) to turn his Tom Tom on when we were unable to tell him the way. The driver was very impatient and rude - asking outright for a tip which we did not give. Never again. At the airport we encountered passengers who were very happy with on-line ride apps which we will take next time.

Limo service was timely, flexible & courteous. I had originally scheduled Marin door to door limo service to pick up my mom from a relative's home in Sonoma and drive her to San Francisco Airport. Unfortunately, Sonoma experienced multiple fires & road closures and my mother had to evacuate. Marin door to door responded quickly to my request to pick her up her twelve hours earlier then originally scheduled and safely deliver her to a San Francisco hotel. Since I am out of state I truly appreciated their willingness to help both my mother & me out .

I recently tried the Marin Shuttle Service for the first time since recently moving to Marin County, the pickup being scheduled for 7:15 AM. The dispatcher called at 7:15 to say the driver was running 20 minutes late, which turned into 45 minutes before the shuttle arrived. When I expressed my concern to the driver about the late pickup, he refused to listen and this was his response, "It doesn't make any difference that I'm late. You don't know what you're talking about, we'll get you there on time.....then added the word "a--hole". The driver even argued when I tried to tell him which SFO terminal I needed for the drop-off. Needless to say, I'll never use the service again, but whoever manages the service needs to do some serious customer service training. It was the single worst experience I've encountered over a lifetime of frequent travel. Try another shuttle service, they don't deserve your business.

What happened to us should not happen to anybody. We were scheduled for a pickup to get us to the airport 2 1/2 hours before flight time for a European trip. When the car didn't arrive on time, I called (first of three calls) and was told that the driver would be at our house within 15 minutes. I said that if it's any later, I will cancel and call Uber. They promised that he would get us to the airport at the designated time. 45 minutes later, the driver arrives with other people in the car who were scheduled for a pick up the same time as ours. They were being taken to the cruise ships in downtown San Francisco. We know the traffic at the area and knew that there was no way we would get to the airport on time. It was agonized, to say the least. We were stuck. The driver said this happens all the time and he has told the company that he simply could not get people to the airport on time after having to first go to the cruise ship stop. It took us an hour and 45 minutes to get the airport and we had to run to make our flight. The stress this created is something we will never get over. Needless to say, we cancelled the return pick up and used Uber who came in five minutes and was the same price. I advice you all to do the same.
