Est. in March of 1969, Marino's has been serving up the best homemade Italian-American cuisine. Don't believe us, try it for yourself.
Est. in March of 1969, Marino's Restaurant was the dream of Mary Marino.
She with her sons Jimmy and Louie set up a business on Central Avenue, in
Northeast Minneapolis. Northeast was the long time home of the Italian
community in Minneapolis. Mary "Na Na" Marino's daughter Vicki and her
husband Ed bought the restaurant in 1971. Currently third generation has
ownership of Marino's. Nana's grandson Eddie bought the business from his
parents in 1988. Now you can see four generations working side by side
sometimes, with Eddie's children Andrea, Quatro, and Jack helping out.
Since 1969 Marino's has expanded to three times the original size, and has added a new meeting room in 1996. Na Na and Eddie are constantly working on new concepts and recipes to add to the menu, but have no intention of getting rid of the traditional favorites like the Homemade Lasagna, S.O.S., Meatloaf Florentine, etc. Eddie's wife Cheryl has brought in many of her pie recipes and takes orders for them on the holidays.
In May of 2004, due to health concerns in our family, we left the day to day restaurant business to focus on the needs of our catering customers. During that year we were blessed, and with the health issues behind us we got the opportunity to serve the public on a daily basis again. In March of 2005 , we opened to the general public again ,in Fridley. At the invitation of the Fridley American Legion, we opened a Marino's in their facility. We now serve the public, as well as do the catering for their reception hall. We have our lunch menu as well as our supper menu linked at the left and encourage you stop by, or give us a call...and we can have it ready.
