This hotel has so much potential, but the staff are indifferent to their guests. It's a cool building with interesting architecture and decor and our visit could have been a really nice one. We checked in late in the evening and discovered that the toilet was stopped. We complained to the front desk and were told that maintenance couldn't get there until the next morning. But no order for maintenance was made and we had to ask again in the morning. They acted like we broke the toilet and said "we don't have any notes about that", implying that I wasn't being truthful with them. The toilet guy came up with a plunger in a plastic grocery bag and fixed it but dripped toilet water all over the floor, didn't wash his hands after, emerged from the bathroom with the plunger back in the bag, and asked if we needed any room service. We declined and hoped he wasn't also the room service guy.
Behind the check in counter is a sign asking for a review because they want to be "number one". I'd make a joke about them being "number two", but they're much further down the list. 
Here's your review. The great lobby coffee is what saved you from a one star.

There's one experience I look forward to monthly, and that's when I get together with co-workers to discuss work and I get to enjoy the best salad bar in town. 5 star buffet. Cool atmosphere. Great Service. Superb pizza.

A good hotel with pleasant rooms. Great restaurant and other amenities. Our room had a whirlpool tub in the bath. A good TV and CD player with full rich sound system. The bed and bedding were very nice. Seattle's Best coffee for the room brew. Fairly quiet on the 8th floor. Had a great night's sleep and a fine custom made complimentary omelette for breakfast. The price for a room was reasonable.

Very cute boutique hotel. Cozy and comfortable. Rooms are fresh and clean with a beautiful decor. Staff is friendly and there morning waffles are the best! Convenient location downtown. Lobby is cozy and they have a lot of books to read if you are a book worm.

Quaint, cute place in Peoria. Room was just the right size for my wife and I. Bed was a king and comfy. Offer free shuttle service to places/events nearby, which is really cool.  Free parking.  Staff is very friendly and helpful.  Interior is nice with exposed brick in the room and the lobby is wonderful!
