My wife and I are residents of Ohio. When we purchased out condo on Longboat Key, we needed a builder who was honest, reliable, skilled and who could be trusted to manage a major renovation for us while we were a long distance away. Markley exceeded our expectations on every count.  They showed up when promised, completed our job quickly, and we were thrilled with the workmanship. More recently, when we sustained some emergency damage, they helped us deal with the immediate clean-up and repair the damage quickly and with fantastic results. The guys at Markley are more than just great builders. They have become trusted friends who have gone above and beyond on many occasions. We cannot recommend them more highly.

We purchased a beautiful high-end home but we wanted to remodel the front entrance. We worked with Dan and Brett from Markley construction to do the remodel. It was a complicated project that many other contractors rejected as too much of a challenge, but Dan and Brett hung in there with us and saw it through to a perfect completion. 

Our initial apprehension and cautiousness when working with an unknown provider quickly turned to confidence as we witnessed the professionalism and expertise Brett and Dan exhibited when handling our project.

  There were challenges in securing the marble that was needed to match the original stone, but they persevered way beyond what would have been expected until they found what was the correct material. We made changes to the project half way through and yet they were unruffled and never made us for a second feel that we were being unreasonable with our requests. Throughout the project, from start to finish, they were flexible, patient and caring, again way beyond what we could expect. 

As proof of our complete confidence in, and utmost satisfaction with Markley Construction, we secured them to work with us on another project, where they managed to create a built in for our master bedroom incorporating a beautiful bookcase, a stone fireplace mantle and a gas fireplace, that is a seamless addition to the house.  

 Once again we could not be more pleased with the outcome. 

We have been one hundred percent satisfied with every facet of our interaction with Markley construction.  They have been responsive, creative, efficient, and neat. and we look forward to doing even more work with Dan and Brett in the future!

If you are looking for a contractor who is honest, reliable, creative, professional, and very serious about building a reputation for high quality work - then you have come to the right place. We are from the UK and wanted to renovate an older house. Dan and Brett from Markley helped us navigate the building regulations and permits, advised us on plans and design, and then executed all the remodelling to an extremely high standard. We are very happy indeed with all the work they have done, and would recommend them unreservedly.

Markley construction has done work on 2 homes I have owned in Sarasota.  The first was in 2012 in the Deer Creek Subdivision.  They completely gutted the house removing the popcorn from the ceilings to applying a level 4 finish which looked like a million bucks.  They removed and retiled the entire home.  They installed a completely new kitchen from new cabinets to full granite counters.  One sign you know you hired the right contractor is they never asked for payouts until the work was completed to our satisfaction.  As for satisfaction, when we sold that house we hired them again to work on another house with us. Our new home with the help of Markley construction is getting the full make over.  We changed our 6 pairs of outside French doors with impact doors.  Installed a new kitchen, painted 4,000 sq feet all while living in Chicago and managing them via the phone.  The bottom line, great work by skilled tradesman, a contractor you can trust in today's world to do the right job for you.

Dan Lane is a joy to work with. I have recommended him to several of my real estate clients and they have been extremely pleased. It is critical to my business to be able to make a referral of a vendor who will be an extension of my business and treat my clients the same way I would, and I can trust that Dan will. Top notch quality of work and communication. Always there when I need him.
