Stopped for Marlin breakfast speciaI this morning, food was excellent. Our waiter Jon, was very very good. Always making sure coffee cups are filled, and very attentive to our needs. Thank you Jon you made our stop so pleasant Came back for lunch a month later and now would have a hard time giving it a 2 star at the most. Bathrooms were very dirty, mashed potatoes were a poor quality instant. Could service was so so. Not sure if I would return for anything than breakfast

The lady that served us breakfast today was extremely friendly, although we had to run her down to get all of our breakfast she kept on forgetting to bring us all our food that we ordered. She finally brought us part of the order she forgot the silverware so we had to run here down for that. The food itself, once again, was pretty bad, the bacon was like rubber, I think hasbrowns or french fries should be crispy the hash browns were soggy under fried, the biscuits and gravy were horrible! I thought if i did not take the breakfast buffet I would get fresher food, cause i looked at the buffet and it looked terrible so i ordered off the menu It was as if they went to the buffet and dished it up from there. I tried Marlins when I came through Rapid City about a year and a half ago and that was bad, but I thought I would give the Sioux Falls one a try and it was just as horrible. Friendly service but horrible food A BIG YUCK!!!!! Never again

Perfect timing ... Just before lunch crowd. Service & food we're good. I was surprised that my burger didn't come with fries or that I wasn't at least offered a side dish to go with my sandwich.

When we first discovered Marlin's downtown, the first few times were great. The last 3 times were less busy and was we waited the longest. Went there today, and we saw a server we knew was not the best, she was on the phone and even saw a gentleman, looked like a supervisor, and he seated us and got our beverages. Finally, Jessica I believe is her name, came over like it was a chore, and she was training someone. There was only one table that had people and the rest of the restaurant was empty. There were staff that were familiar with us, but for some reason, let us wait. Third time with less than satisfactory service was the it. Paid for a half a cup of coffee for $2.19 cents and left. I can now see why people said that it was not so great. If the Jessica person thinks she is all that, than clean herself up and do something about her poor appearance and attitude. I was surprised at the managers there as well, as usually the one is wonderful. Food was never a problem there, nor was the staff, until about the last month and a half. Once we saw Jessica, we knew it was not good. Don't want to be there, then get another job that suits you.

Met my BFF at Marlins restaurant on Minnesota Avenue was somewhat impressed with the waiter before he got busy but everything went down the tubes from there never came to check and see how our food was through our condiments on the table and walked away without even saying anything brought the bill said pay me at the table walked away no thank you no nothing then proceeded to have an attitude when we asked him to refill our coffee we had tip set on table but that last straw was what BROKE the camel's back and the tip was put away but we did speak to the manager and he was very accommodating and awesome with understanding the issue. Will we go back to Marlins restaurant on Minnesota Avenue yeah because we know the manager there and will support his store but it's good for the manager to know when his staff is not treating customers with good customer service
