The fire department was founded on May 2, 1883 as the Pioneer Hose Company and on April 22, 1884 officially became the Marshfield Fire Department.
The Marshfield Fire & Rescue Department (MFRD) is a full-time career fire department consisting of 37 members. We are a full-service department offering services in fire suppression, EMS, technical rescue, specialized rescue, code enforcement, fire prevention and public fire education, and many others.
