I woke up with a painful tooth and it got worse as the day went on.  I called Dr. Lowery's office and he got me in really fast.  The office staff was great, they contacted my insurance (something I hate doing myself) and I was seen soon after arriving.  Dr. Lowery's care was excellent and they took care of billing my insurance.  Highly recommended - thanks Dr. Lowery!

Although I have a full Aetna group policy through my place of employment, and this office is an Aetna provider they refused to see me unless I paid 100% of the cost out of pocket and then waited for them to reimburse me after the claim was paid, essentially allowing them to be double paid. They claimed it was because they couldnt verify my coverage and needed to see what my policy limits were. I called Aetna and they said this provider had been with their network since 2012 and that this makes no sense as my coverages are available through the provider hotline over the phone, fax, and web. This dentist office finally stated it was just their policy and if was not able to cover 100% of the cost up front and wait to be reimbursed they couldn't help. This is nonsense and certainly a way to lose patients which is just what happened.
