I'm very attached to this masque. Very active and honest management. They provide many religious activities all year long.

If your looking for a place to pray the masjid is open all day, the masjid has an active administration but unfortunately they are not qualified to teach, neither are they willing to except advice that's given to them. I personally have gave advice to the different members on several occasions on teaching the community how to pray properly, prioritize teaching Tawheed and Shirk. But unfortunately they never did. It's sad to see that majority of the community remain ignorant of the basic fundamentals of Islam. It's also sad to see the majority of the community aren't able to properly make wudu according to The Sunnah. It's like they're trying to please the people.

Growing up within the vicinity of the mosque, I've been here a number of times. The mosque is a two floor settlement (basement and ground) consisting of a women's prayer area (basement) and a men's prayer area (ground level). The Imam's are alright during prayer, announcements are made in Arabic and broken English, and this place is generally well respected by many in the neighborhood which downfalls in and of it's own for outsiders. The vicinity of the area Mosque surrounds are of people of Middle Eastern decent which can be a big drawback to those who aren't Middle Eastern or a newbie to the neighborhood. In short, this place is heavily niched. This mosque also has another issue, their school system to learn how to read the Quran and Arabic. As a kid I've been there and was abused quite a bit from the teachers who some of which were Imam's as well. I can tell you that I haven't improved at all from going there, and I've been there twice. The system of teaching is pretty much third-world, and I would've wished that I was taught by a certified teacher that doesn't hit their students who misbehave/answer incorrectly, gave extra help for those struggling, and just overall made the learning path fun, rewarding, and easy to follow. They only kiss-up to students that are smart or has a family member that are friends and/or relatives to them. Also, be warned that they mainly teach by speaking Arabic and broken English so if you don't speak Arabic, and you want to learn Arabic... you're basically in a limbo my compadre! Overall, it was such a waste of my time and money. As of today they are constructing a full-fledged school which worries me a bit for those reasons I've experienced many years ago. For anyone who plans on having your child attend this school please keep your eyes peeled.
