Masjid Muhajireen is a mosque and gathering place to a diverse and dynamic community composed of, among others, indigenous Muslims, and immigrants. The congregation is filled with many brothers and sisters in Islam from all over. We accept all.
The Mosque of Muhajireen is a mosque and gathering place to a diverse and dynamic community composed of, among others, indigenous Muslims and immigrants. The congregation is predominantly Afghan-Americans. The masjid is nestled on an acre-lot in a residential Tennyson-Alquire neighborhood.
The masjid consists of a nearly 3,000 sq. foot building providing a main musullah (prayer hall) and a private sister's musallah. Jummah (Friday) prayers are held weekly. The sermon is in Farsi. Eid prayers, Taraweeh prayers, Iftaars, and other special Islamic and cultural events/holidays are also held at the Mosque of Muhajireen, which is also called the Islamic Association of Immigrants.
The Jum'ah prayer timings change bi-annually with the start and end of Daylight Savings Time.
From March to November, the first azaan and Khutbu (Islamic bayaan sermon) in Farsi is at 1:15 p.m. Community announcements in Farsi follow, then a second azaan, and a sermon in Arabic at 1:45 p.m. Congregational prayers are at 2:10 p.m.

The Jum’ah service begins with a sermon in Farsi, then a call to prayer (Azaan), individual customary prayers (Sunnah prayers), community announcements in Farsi, a sermon in Arabic (Khutbah), and ending in two cycles (rakahs) of obligatory (Fard) prayer in congregation. The services are officiated by our resident spiritual leader, Qari Safiullah Samady. The Islamic bayaan sermon is in Farsi.
