Extremely fresh and delicious lobster! We ordered the lobster salad roll, the classic roll upgraded to bay harbor adding tail and extra lobster meat and the mac and cheese and tater tots to round things out! The lobster was buttery and packed a lot of flavor. The mac and cheese and tater tots were satisfying as well. Service was swift and efficient. Lobster is one of those luxurious meals - so definitely expect to pay 20+ if you are looking for a roll. In my opinion it was worth it!
Stopped in to see how good of a lobster roll could be had in Denver CO. I ordered the Lobster BLT and a bowl of lobster chowder. The food was good, but not worth the cost. Don’t imagine this place will last long during the upcoming recession.
Best lobster roll I’ve ever had! Got the Classic Lobster Roll which was seasoned well and had the perfect amount of mayo and lemon butter. $21 for a lobster roll is a great deal for high quality food like this. Definitely will be back again, Denver is lucky to have a Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls here!
Never thought I would have a lobster roll this good in landlocked Colorado. Honestly, this tasted just as fresh as some lobster rolls I've had in Boston and Maine. The menu is short, but sweet. I personally love Connecticut style rolls. The warm, buttery bun was to die for. Really goes well with the lobster bisque. Was also impressed by their gluten free roll; not quite as good as the original, but definitely makes a good sandwich. Hoping to do the classic cold style next time with the clam chowder.
Today was the first time I've ever had a lobster roll, so I had no idea what to expect. Overall, it was good. I initially had an issue with the portion size, but after reading the owner's reply to some reviews on here, the price point made sense. I had the classic lobster roll, and I was pleasantly surprised. The lobster had a nice taste to it, and I liked the bun. Next time, I want to try the CT, but I'll go to the restaurant instead of having it delivered.
After encouragement from the vendor and input from a Maine expert on lobster rolls, I gave Mason's another try. I ordered the Connecticut this time which was exactly what I was looking for the first time. The bun was deliciously grilled in butter and the lobster was delicious! I paired it this time with the blueberry soda which was the perfect match! Upping the rating to 4 stars. Previous- The lobster was generous. The spice on top overpowered the flavor of the lobster. The bisque was very good and the selection of Maine sodas was fantastic. Pricy and I might try the warm one next time without any spices. I was really just looking for a buttered grilled roll with warm fresh lobster on top.
I never had a Lobsterroll so I read the ratings on this place and thought I’d try em. Omg so yum. Def lived up to the hype‼ the clam chowder is delicious I swear. Can’t wait to return and get a different one.
The lobsters are slightly over cooked and I can’t blame the restaurant for not using fresh lobsters since this is in Colorado. However for $30-$40 per person, I really hoped I can get a restaurant grade roll or at least better than what I can make at home using frozen lobsters. I still enjoyed the food but because of the price, I probably won’t go back. If you really crave lobsters, this is a better choice than Maine Shack in Denver.
I am not one to post reviews but I really really felt that I needed to leave one. First of let me say the service and ambience was amazing! I went here with some friends and had an unforgettable experience. Needless to say I can no longer say that I am not a fan of lobster! The Connecticut roll was just mouth watering and made my tummy and heart feel oh so warm!! I will be going back every time i am driving through Denver. Keep up the good work and making those lobsters roll!
The arbor, warm, juicy with an extra tail. I save the extra tail to dunk in some warm butter after my Sandwich . The lobster bisque with lobster lumps sent me on a voyage of my own.
