This is the kind of neighborhood hardware store I love to go. They are friendly, helpful, and most probably has the stuff you are looking for for an affordable price.

I have been coming here for years, ever since I bought my first house in Altadena in 1986. While the selection is not as extensive as Home Depot or OSH, they almost always have what I need. And being a neighborhood store, that means I don't have to drive 15 - 30 minutes while in the middle of a project and needing something. That's worth the few cents more I have to pay!

A great resource... I think a few folks are missing the point of "the neighborhood store". This may not be the place to go if you are building a home, but for one or two items it sure beats driving to HD or OSH. You might spend 0-20% more on something, but I'd gladly spend a few more dollars and complete my tasks now, than drive, waste gas, and an extra 45 minutes going to the Big Boxes - What's your time worth?? They usually know what they are talking about. And, their selection of plumbing parts is amazing - also, generally of significantly higher quality than the-cheapest-of-Chinese-junk found at HD.

This not home depo or osha but they have things for the older home still. Like old style light fixtures for the older fashion kitchen. Older fluorescent ceiling fixtures. Above the washer dryer area fluorescent. Older bathroom light fixtures. They plumbing pipe lengths from plumbers that did jobs for bigger homes but still good lengths for small homes. Replaced a old wall heater for the bathroom. Ordered a new one that fit and worked perfectly. They have plder bricks for driveway walkways. Rewired my whole house and garage. Got all the proper wire size. My electrician needed include new electrical boxes and breakers 50 and 30 amp breakers. Prices about the same. Older style door knobs.

this is very nice neighbor hood store, they carry everything good customer service and fast check out if they don't carry it, they will get it
