Hello my friends…. Sigh  I am very big on customer service, to me it’s as if it makes the food taste so much better. I went for a well deserved  birthday dinner for I worked during the day and I had a wonderful bartender  Antonino  Everything was fine until he had to leave. I then waited 45min for Service.The manger came over and apologized and the recovery was quick. I must say the food was amazing and the drinks were on point. It’s because of  Antonio  and the efforts there after I am giving a good review

It is a bit overpriced. But everything was very tasty. Medium Rare perfect steak. I'm kinda watching how the servers interact with other tables, they are so much more attentive and interactive with others. Even the cute Asian girl said that on purpose was getting plenty of attention but no one but my server is paying me any attention. I saw a server laughing and serving her drinks and checking in on her but never spoke to me. I don't know if I wasn't dressed fancy enough or because I was black but I noticed.

Good day Googlers, hope you are ready for what’s in store at this place. My review was based off a fine dining experience therefore judged according to that level of expectation. There is a dress code so be sure to wear your nice collared shirt. We came early in the evening and didn’t wait long. We were seated with several menus, mostly alcohol and a decent selection of wine. My partner in crime wanted some oysters to start her off so we went with their half shell which came with 6. We tried half east and half west. Recommend going with west coast but they were tasty either way. I wanted some shrimp to start me off and went with their sautéed shrimp and felt this set the tone for a good night. For our main course my partner in crime wanted the Chilean Sea Bass. The crust that was left on it made for a great taste we both enjoyed. I wanted a steak so my go to was their bone in ribeye wish they had boneless. Here is were my review starts to get disappointing. When we got our main course it was about 45 min after we got our appetizers putting us at 2 hrs at this point. Did appear there were several things getting sent back to the kitchen as we watched the tables around us. My steak was ordered to medium and I got a medium rare to rare steak. I really wanted to send it back but I also didn’t want to wait another hour. I don’t mind a medium rare steak but because I have braces I found myself having to pull the steak off my braces which was a huge turnoff. What made it worse was the waitress didn’t check up on us until the end of everything. With that going on, the steak was seasoned well and I still enjoyed it. The side dishes we ordered were the garlic mashed potato, asparagus, and Bering sea king crab black truffle gnocchi. The garlic mashed potato’s were lacking the garlic kick I was hoping to have but did have a hint of garlic in there. For the asparagus, I decided to go with the grilled ones and felt they were a bit over cooked. I like mine on the crunchier side not so much on the soggy side so if you like yours that way you may want to let them know then again other places I’ve gone to tend to have them crunchier. This was another dish that turned me off cause of how it was prepared since I found myself having to pull this out of my braces as well. The black truffle gnocchi was definitely my favorite of the side dishes. My overall impression of this place was not bad, worth another visit for sure but not able to give above three stars at this time.

If ever in San Francisco, Mastro's Steakhouse is an absolute must! Food matches the $$$, but certainly a pleasant surprise.  Other fine dinning establishments I have visited have small portions with big $$$'s. Definitely not the case here. Impressive menu and wine selection. Fantastic atmosphere and friendly staff. Most definitely recommend and not miss the opportunity to visit again next time I'm back in town.

What a fantastic experience... it was everything it was recommended to be, and more!!!! Went there on a recent visit to SF and can't wait for a return visit! Courteous and Knowledgeable staff, elegant ambiance, outstanding service and delicious and perfectly prepared food/libations! The perfect place when you want to feel total elegance.

Dinner was incredible. Staff was pleasant, and very attentive! Top notch service. Ambiance was romantic perfect for a date night. Live pianist at the bar area. Drinks were perfect. Dessert delicious. Serving were more than enough for two, still able to bring home a doggie bag. Loved Mastros definitely returning.Recommended dishesMastro's Bread Basket, Lobster Mac and Cheese

great vibes, amazing service & food was exceptional. Crab mash was a bit salty but they changed it to garlic smash took it off the billwithin minutes to ensure we had a good experience. Very romantic

Excellent steak and drinks. Hands down my favorite restaurant in SF. I'm happy Mastros opened in the Bay Area. I recommend the NY strip and lobster mashed potatoes. All of the desserts are made in house. Highly recommend their signature cake and key lime pie. The Mastros team made our first anniversary extra special. Thanks!Food: 5/5

Very nice and cozy environment! Like the music in there! Dress code is just basically no hat or shorts everything else is fine. Great steak! The Plate feels a little empty. I would have liked it more if there was mashed potatoes some veggies or fries on the side with steak not just steak by itself. But Overall amazing experience Food tasted great Service was fast and good. One of the best steakhouses in SF.

I went there with my best friends. Ambient is very nice and cozy, again like in every  Mastros  Steakhouse it's  a bit dark in my opinion. Stuff could definitely be more interactive and involved in conversation with the guests. Our server  was not so interested in having any conversation rather than: "what  would you like to order, how's everything so far." Which is not the best way to approach the guests in a place like Mastros Steakhouse is. However, food was good,steak was excellent, not cooked the way I want  it but delicious. You can't  even  tell how dark it was in a room . Oysters, my favorite appetizer, were delicious and fresh, cream spinach was the best, highly recommend  you to take that one as a side dish. Lady that was singing that night  was above and beyond,  that's  something I've noticed in every Mastros  Steakhouse,  they do have incredible artists. Last but not least,  place is decorated with style,  modern design and some interesting art that reminds  us of Bay Area and San Francisco.
