seemed like they seated us in the less desirable portion of the restaurant. food was great, service was pretty good. had a moscow mule & a passion fruit margarita- both were good. enjoyed the experience, my girlfriend also had a great time & enjoyed her food.Food: 5/5
I went on a Monday, so the place was almost empty, which is still good for me. The bartender was really nice, very accommodating. The food is fair, I wouldn't order order the ceviche again, but the tostones locos were really good. The decor was really interesting, I liked it.
Don't let the nice vinyl stickers on the window fool you. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. The water and the bottled sprite was the best thing we had. Carne Frita was like chewing on a tire. This is not a TAPAS place. Side for Carnes reads carnitas and tostones then says plantains, it's not the same thing. They DO NOT have plantains at all. This place reinforces my belief that you should not eat anywhere rated under a 4.3. The fact that it's also connected to a "diner" now speaks volumes after eating here. How is this place still in business will be the 8th wonder of the world. Had to add ketchup just to get some kind of flavor to the food. Using the leftovers for my dogs, hopefully they will eat the overpriced fried rubber.
Not impressed. We 4 adults were disappointed in our food unfortunately. All the meats were dry and overcooked. Even the plantains were dry and like a cardboard box with a little taste. The rice that was with the paella was tasty. It may be a great place for drinking, but you’d be better off with fast food or something else.
Be careful when going to this place. They leave brooms right next to the door. Which caused me to knock over wine bottles which I was charged for. Even though it was their fault for creating a hazard.
Stopped here for breakfast. Ordered the pork chop special, it wasn’t good at all. Food lacks flavor. Also ordered the guacamole appetizer which they claimed it was made earlier that morning but in reality it tasted like it came straight out of a can. Our server was polite and somewhat attentive. But I certainly, won’t be going back to this place.
Service was great but the food wasn't. Ordered the Nacho combo but there wasn't much meat and was expensive and lacked flavor. Wife had 2 mini tacos that were also expensive. These 2 items plus a water and a soda $35 . Should have stopped at a food truck on the way home. Lesson learned.
We had dinner here 2 nights ago. The place was not crowded, and the tables were spaced out. We had; Appetizers: Tostones Locos fried plantains loaded with chicken, cheese, onions, pico de gallo, and guacamole Plato Combinaos Hamon Serrano, Spanish chorizo, Manchego cheese Gherkins, Olives, grapes served with toast points Sangria's to drink Entries: Ceviche Carne Asada al Matador Skirt steak over a bed of Papas bravas topped with Pico de Gallo Dessert: Fried Cheesecake with ice cream Overall: our server was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. All staff are using mask. The food was tasty. There was live entertainment a DJ playing music and singing live some guest sang Karaoke. There is also outdoor sitting. If, you are out looking for good food and a good time, I would suggest stopping by Matador
We had a great time at the Grinchmas event today. Food was delicious and the Grinch was great! There was live music and a dance show.
Matador Tacos & Tapas Bar is a beautifully decorated restaurant with delicious and authentic food, offering an enjoyable ambiance. The music and entertainment are classy and culturally rich. The service is amazing which consists of a welcoming and attentive staff. We celebrated my husband’s birthday there this November with about 70 guests and Jackie helped me plan it in such an organized and easy-going manner. Jackie was very detailed and added special touches throughout. My friends and family keep raving about the party. I would highly recommend this venue for a nice lunch, dinner or special event.
