Its always a sad day when you have to euthanize one of your pets, recently I had to put my elderly (15 year old) dog Phoenix to sleep. Mayfair animal hospital was able to accommodate me within the hour, and ease both myself and my ex through the process.The vet offered alternative possibilities to euthanize my pet, however due to quality of life, mobility, and age factors, my mind had been made up and they respected my wishes. When a 15 year old dog goes blind, cant walk without falling, and refuses to go outside to the bathroom, it is simply time. 

I am still continuing to take my pets to Mayfair animal hospital, and would recommend them without hesitation.

The vets here always take great care with your furbabies. They also work with other vets if you have special needs. My animals still don't like going but I am thankful my babies are healthy and happy...and maybe a little happy. There are cheaper vets but this office came highly recommended from my precious vet, and they have lived up to that expectation.

Mayfair Animal Hospital is one of the popular hospitals in the area which is located next to Sri Satya Sai Baba Mandir. Dogs, cats etc can be treated here. The Hospital has got many old customers who used to treat their legged ones here. Do visit when you next need such treatment for loved ones.

Accompanied an old friend to have a dog we previously cared for together euthanized. When he called to schedule appt, he scheduled for euthanasia. Our dog Phoenix was 15 years old and appeared to have suffered a stroke after violently screaming two days prior and losing majority of function on left side of her body. She had not eaten in 30+ hours, drank liquids in 20+ hours, was sitting in her own feces when going to the bathroom and had a hx of severe arthritis. This was the first time she was seen at this hospital. Dr Rusnak entered the room, did not obtain a history or physical exam but merely noted that our dog had nystagmus (eye twitching) and then spent 5 minutes trying to talk us out of euthanasia as our dog may have Old Dog Vestibular Disease, a definite possibility in light of her age. I would caution that before you spend 5 minutes trying to talk an educated medical provider out of euthanasia, get at the very least, a 5 minute history. As the tech brought her out of the room, she called our dog a "he" and accidentally hit her head into the door on leaving to insert an IV.  The least you can do as a vet tech is know the sex of the dog you are treating. The entire staff was super chipper which is great with a regular pet visit, but when you are putting your dog down, most vet staff are aware and appropriately somber.  The whole experience was one I wouldn't wish on anyone who loves their pet and thinks of them as family. In retrospect, I am so incredibly glad I used Azzure Holland Pet services when my dog Buddy was euthanized 5 months ago. They never met him before my call,  took a 30 minute history and ultimately we decided it was best to let him go. He was put to sleep peacefully on our front lawn in the sun and we were allowed ten minutes after sedation injected to say goodbye before he passed. Night and day experience from what I experienced at Mayfair. At the very least, I hope Dr Rusnak will learn from this situation to take a 5 minute history before taking that time trying to convince heartbroken people not to euthanize.

I have two bunnies, one of which is a new addition to the family. I took her in for a first visit today and Dr John Santilli was wonderful. Careful, experienced, friendly.
