Mayfield Village Recreation Department
The Mayfield Village Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide variety of programs for preschool children through senior adults in the areas of Aquatics, Special Events and Activities, Excursions, Adaptive Recreation, Youth and Teen Activities, Youth and Adult Sports, and Summer Camps.
Mayfield Village Parks and Recreation Department Mission Statement: Mayfield Village Parks and Recreation Department’s mission is to coordinate with members of the Mayfield Village Recreation Board, residents, volunteers, Mayfield Community Education (Mayfield City Schools),MARC, and surrounding recreation departments to develop a wide variety of recreation activities and programs for citizens of Mayfield Village and the Mayfield City School District. Through these programs the department will promote a “sense of community”, promote health and wellness, and provide a positive learning experience for all participants.
• Offering quality, educational, and socially enriching programs for Mayfield Village and Mayfield City School District residents of all ages and interests.
• Encouraging interagency cooperation by offering cooperative programs with shared resources by working with area community Recreation Departments, Mayfield Community Education, and Mayfield Schools.
• Facilitating the development of programs to meet the present and future needs of all Village residents, and community organizations.
• Offering opportunities for Mayfield Village and School District residents to actively participate and be involved in the decision-making process to generate programs and solutions to meet Mayfield Village or School District needs.
• Developing and maintaining the most efficient and cost effective methods of supplying programs and services to the community.
• Maximizing the use of existing community and School District facilities, resources, and personnel.
Based on our commitment to our Mission Statement and Objectives, the Mayfield Village Parks and Recreation Department made up of the Director, Assistant Director and Youth/Adult Sports Coordinator, will write specific goals based on needed improvement and/or maintaining our current practices. The technique the department will be using with be the SMART model; Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely.
