I absolutely love living here! The grounds are beautiful and I have great neighbors. The staff is top notch. I have lived here for 11 years and can't imagine living anywhere else.

I went to view an apartment on 11/20 since I saw ads on Craigslist for “specials” for $849 and another one for $949. When I got there I told the lady at the leasing office about the “specials” I saw. She immediately said that the $849 was no longer available but she did have the $949. So of course we decide to see it. She gave us a paper form to fill out real quick and asked for our drivers license. As soon as she saw that our DLs were from California she immediately said that the $949 was no longer available and that she forgot that it was rented out already. (How do you forget such a thing is beyond me) We immediately knew that this wasn’t right but proceed to see the apartment. My significant other asked her when would other apartments be available and she responded not for a long time and that she only had this one apartment available. (She claimed ALL the apartments were renting so quickly) Anyways long story short is she was trying to up sell us bc she thought we were from Cali little does she know that I’m actually from the area. She tried to tell us that these apartments are actually worth $1400. (Yea right. Those apartments are poorly put together. The “updated” apartments are even bad..the counter tops weren’t even granite or quartz.) So anyways the next day (11/21) we’re still looking for apartments/housing. I go back to Craigslist to see if anything new was posted and they have posted the $949 “special”. (I thought it rented already?) This place is such a joke. I would stay away. They sound like a bunch of snakes. If I could give 0 stars I would. I’m glad we didn’t rent from here. Terrible sales tactic and terrible customer service.

I have lived at many apartment communities in the eastern suburbs, I normally lease for 3-5 years on average and usually move on to new scenery. I rented a 2bd with den and stayed for 2 years, the apartment and common area's were clean and the neighbors were quite in my building. Upon move out I cleaned my unit very throughly like I always do and took pictures of everything. (A former neighbor told me to do so) glad i did because after move out I was shocked to receive a letter stating that they were not refunding me my 500.00 security deposit and stuck me with a 1400.00 in damages charges! carpet worn, kitchen countertops, wood flooring damages, etc etc. I took them to small claims court last week because in my 20 years of renting I'd never been charged for damages to my apartment... I gave the judge my pictures and showed him how I left the apartment, normal wear and tear after a 2 year lease, not 1400.00 in damages! I just received a letter in the mail from small claims court. All I owe is 90.00! For a spare rec room key and mailbox key I forgot to return. So if u move here, beware! They will penny pinch you for ridiculous charges. Take good pictures and Take them to court like I did!

Don’t move here. Spare yourself from dealing with people who lie, and have no sympathy for the problems their property causes you. They are rude, not helpful, and very defensive in every conversation with them. Was not able to see unit until the day they knew I MUST sign the lease and move it. I was told it had a patio and new carpet- quickly learned that it has neither. Residents smoke in common areas in my building. (I have an allergy to smoke and they refused to move me to another building.) There are roaches in both my unit and the unit across the hall. I have taken pictures of the roaches found, only to have the leasing office tell me that the pictures were not taken at the Village at Mayfield Apartments and I was lying. I have been bitten by them (German Roaches) twice (I have pictures.) To prove they were taken at the Village at Mayfield Apartments, I took a video of the roach and in the video, walked outside to the front of the building to show that it’s their building in their development. The leasing office/maintenance staff has disclosed my personal information on two occasions- once telling neighboring residents that I was the one complaining about the smoke smell and a second time telling my neighboring residents that “someone” in the building, very obviously me, made up a lie that there were roaches. Where I moved from 3 weeks ago has written a letter stating that they have never had a roach issue at their property and there were none when we moved out. I DID NOT BRING THEM WITH ME- I had never even seen a roach until moving here. Horrendous experience all across the board. We are moving after just 3 weeks of living here.
