Great barbecue! Besides the regular menu (which has fair prices and a good selection), they have a full buffet with a good salad bar, classic barbecue meats (my favorites were the North Carolina-style pulled pork and the brisket). There's also a desert bar with lots of choices from fresh fruit to pie to banana pudding. This was my first visit to McCalls, but I doubt it will be my last!

Other than the small tables, and unhealthy customers who don't watch their kids, this place is so far consistent with great food. The dessert is among the best I've had. Is the best I've had at a buffet style restaurant. Two thumbs up for the REAL homemade banana pudding!! I NEEDED that.

Visited McCall's yesterday while in town attending a funeral. Arrived just after the evening Seafood buffet began at 4 pm. I recently have been visiting BBQ restaurants in eastern North Carolina that are listed on the official Top 100 BBQ restaurant map that I purchased late last year.
   I have eaten at 8 different restaurants in the past 3 months that are listed on the map. My barbecue yesterday was the best that I have eaten in any restaurant during the past 3 months. Smoked to perfection, sauced just right, and blended with just a hint of skin that gave the 'cue a great flavor. The BBQ was great and the staff was very friendly and attentive.   An extra bonus was the fantastic seafood that accompanied the BBQ on the buffet. Lightly breaded shrimp and perfectly seasoned fried oysters were as good as any I can find on the coast of North Carolina where I live.
  I will go back to McCall's any time I am any where near Goldsboro and drive past those other BBQ restaurants to get there.

Met with some friends for a business luncheon. McCalls has great support from the local residents, it's alwats busy.
Most customers order the food bar, which remains very well kept with a wide variety of comfort food. The salad items also offer an excellent variety of items. 
Have always had a good experience here. This is a must stop for excellent buffet.

Always a pleasure visiting.... Just wish they'd add Turkey'Q to their menu and collards cooked with Turkey instead of pork.... Everybody don't eat pork.... Overall tho... No complaints.. Friendly staff... Great food... Fun atmosphere!
