Stan Herst came highly recommended from a trusted friend, and I couldn't be more grateful for his help. He helped us navigate fixing and selling our home while buying another one in the peak of the 2022 housing craze. I knew he wasn't just looking for a quick commission after we looked at several houses that we were kind of excited about, but he told us he didn't think they were the houses for us. He was a calming influence throughout the buying process, and it could not have gone smoother.

Incredible experience working with them! I am a first time home buyer who happened to be ready to buy during one of the most aggressive sellers' markets of my generation! Luckily, I had the good fortune to work with Alejandra Guzman Carrasco! I found her on the Sunflower Association of professional ethics in real estate which is an organization that certifies a code of ethics among its members. Immediately, she set me at ease, explaining the entire process to me. I signed a contract with her for a year, thinking that it would take a long time to find a place in a good neighborhood on my very limited budget. Instead, I closed on a perfect starter home very soon after! She also found me different financing to make sure I got the FHA grant. I was able to lock in a great rate plus I got the grant! After I was financed, she was able to negotiate full inspections, seller repairs and, ultimately we closed $8k under the appraisal price! I thought my timing would limit me to bad deals and I was expecting to overpay for something I didn't enjoy. Instead, I already have equity in a neighborhood that seems to get more popular each year. Her work didn't end after closing either! Her professional network has come in at lower bids than anyone I've found myself. At first, I felt guilty asking her for more, but she is absolutely committed to her clients. I never would have believed that becoming a home owner for the first time could be this easy, and as I talk to my other friends, I understand that it isn't. People ask if I randomly found the best real estate agent in town and I say yes! Overall, she's saved me over $15k without exaggeration. I feel almost somber writing this review. I'm sitting in my library in a chair she helped me find, thinking about my future. Working with McGrew and Alejandra Guzman Carrasco was one of the best choices I've ever made for my future. I can't reccomend them enough.

Alejandra Guzman is an exception agent who relentlessly purses every avenue to find the right house for her clients.  I couldn’t be more happy with my experience in dealing with her and McGrew real estate. Top notch.

Kim Clements helped my old roommate and I get into a rental yeeeeears ago when we first moved to Lawrence. She was such a great person that I recently thought of her when I wanted to check out a home that’s for sale. She’s still amazing! There are a ton of real estate offices in Lawrence that have great realtors, but for me, I think Kim at McGrew is the go-to.
