McKinnis is proud to be the most trusted roofing contractor in Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa. In business since 1981, we've performed thousands of successful installations. Mission

McKinnis Inc. was founded in 1981 by Dave McKinnis. A working man with a big vision. Dave established his business on three basic principles: Quality, Commitment, and Service. Over the years Dave has introduced trusted and talented members to the Roofing and home improvement business to help him grow his company. These team members have been servicing the Midwest with commercial, residential, and industrial roof systems for over 30 years. The continued operation of excellent quality, commitment, and service has led to a steady history of growth and a strong family business in the roofing industry.

Damage from the May 2016 hail storm in Northwest Omaha.  We had gutters, garage doors, windows and roof done by McKinnis.  What we got was a parade of low bid subcontractors over the course of 4 months.   I no longer recommend using these composite companies.  Just hire a good inspector or adjuster then hire the contractors directly.

They replaced the garage doors and forgot to tighten all the connections.  Yesterday I found another nut laying on the garage floor.  Spent an hour checking all of them.

McKinnis is a great company to work for! They have been a family owned business since 1981 and it shows on a daily basis. The management is very genuine in their practices and they truly care about their employees and customers. The McKinnis team is very friendly and they really make you feel right at home. McKinnis is a big company with a small town atmosphere. Not only do they take pride in their company, they also care a great deal about the communities that surround their business locations. Each year McKinnis generously gives to organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Open Door Mission, local sporting activities, local businesses and other non-profit organizations. I highly recommend McKinnis as a fantastic place to work and a trustworthy company for all your roofing, restoration, and housing exterior needs.

McKinnis has been my go-to roofing company the last 2 times my roof needed replacement.  They offer fair pricing, quality workmanship, and super customer service.  They also now do exterior work as my siding and window screens needed repair in addition to roof replacement after last year's hail storm.  I highly recommend them!

Over priced, under serviced.
We had McKinnis do our roof, siding and gutters after the June 2014 hail storm in Blair. I choose them because of the great service I had received before when using their crews not sub contractors, in 2013 they put in 2 skylights & did some siding repairs, great job – however NOT the case on this job…The management of this job was deplorable from the start. Wrong products, no management, over priced, no cons cession for using sub contractors, nickeled and dimed our insurance provider to insure an increased profit. The workers showed NO respect for our property, cooking their lunch in microwaves, throwing skylights with glass still in them off our roof on to our driveway. Amazing!
We have had over 80,000.00 worth of work done on this property and McKinnis is the only company we had issues with.
We have spent hours, picking up nails and glass. Workers cut our drywall installing the exact same skylights replaced 1 year ago by the same company with them being put in place exactly as they were no damage.
If you are interested in hiring a company that will overcharge you, do an okay job, drive over your lawn, throw skylights off your roof leave stuff lay around for weeks than this is the company for you.
The work itself was okay, certainly not excellent as siding was not done in full pieces, but overall not bad, but others will do it better for less while employing workers that are provided fair pay & benefits. I am hiring another company to inspect as I have no faith in the completeness of this job.
