Horrible experience. Both times I've been I was bullied. I reported it to the staff and they did nothing. One staff member was extremely sexist and treated the female patients horribly. I got my level dropped because I had panic attacks when no one would listen to my complaints of other patients. They didn't care if I stayed in my room without food, which occurred all but on of the days. My last stay lasted only 5 days, but it was supposed to be longer since my mother and my social worker decided I needed to "work through this." Well, the thing is, I don't have to live with my bullies in the real world. Still, my mother and social worker did not listen to me and I worried I would be stuck in this Hell hole for another month. On the last day I had a severe anxiety attack and blacked out. They sent me back to the ER because I was "unstable".  I would have been fine if someone had actually helped me and diffused the situation.

There was also another patient, a MTF transgender peer named Anna. She was denied her right to be put with her fellow women and left treatment early as a result.

Do not send your child here if you value their sanity.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! This place should be shut down!!!!!!!! Incompetent staff! Horrible wait times!!! Take away your rights! I had one family member who got stuck here and they wouldn't let him leave even though nothing was wrong with him which led to bills for the hospital and the lawyers. This place needs to be looked into. I cannot stress this enough. If you value yourself or your loved ones do not send them here!

I agree with other poster.  This place should be looked into.  My child went there and came out no better.  They need to hire COMPETENT staff.

I went to McLeans twice this year once back in January and again at the end of July beginning of August and I have had no problems with my stays friendly staff and my nurse I had this July/ August was awesome I would highly recommend this hospital to friends and family
