Story

This pub is located in the first incorporated city west of the Rocky Mountains: Oregon City, a town that dates back to 1829. Located within a historic building, a popular church from the turn of the century, McMenamins Oregon City is also a favorite lunch spot for judges from the neighboring courthouse. Talk about your mixin' of church and state! You may even feel "enlightened" enjoying a beautiful summer day on our outdoor patio.

Great food, great taps. Only issue is the loud and surely/sassy bar staff/waiters. Here is a tip: In all honesty, none of your patrons want to hear the staff loudly plan after hours affairs. I would hoped that they realize they are in the middle of a small room, not in the back kitchen.... Unfortunetly we could loudly hear every word of the wait staff in the middle bar area louder than the person across the table. Not professional or courteous, but if you want to know what the bar tender and friends have planned after his shift, its 10 out of 10.

One of our favorite McMenamins. Great wait staff and food. There is outside seating when the weather is warm. Quaint and charming atmosphere, this was originally a tiny chapel. Smaller than most, so be prepared to wait during peak hours for a table and food. Parking is very limited too.

I liked the location and the feel. Super small but right across from main road along the river. You could work up your thirst with a walk along the Willamette. We did it by walking to the city elevator, taking the stairs, and waking to the falls. Beautiful sunset. Ample water for a real sight. The staff was friendly! The menu is limited to very basic McMenamins. Vegetarians will be disappointed. Ours was. Special bonus are the feral cat houses next door.

Great place to get together with friends! However, it seems that Clackamas County has decided to take over 3/4 of their parking lot. They basically have half a dozen spots to park, plus a couple for disabled spots. I literally drove around town for 25 minutes, looking for a parking spot! I think the county needs to give them back a few places! Great service, delicious food, lousy parking....

Great place to take a hungry guy. Food is still amazing, service was good if not perfect. Prices are in line with this type of place. And best of all, it is a local company, even if they do use Sysco for food supplies. At least they know what to do with that food once they get it. One issue, the building barely meets ADA access with disabled folks having to go to a separate and strange entrance. I know Oregon doesn't require the same level of convenience for disabled folks as, say, Georgia. But it is inconvenient and makes it look like the disable person is possibly slipping out on the bill. Weird.
