The engineering departments at the University do not seem to put their money where it would best benefit students. The Student Shop is thankfully, finally, receiving a bit of a makeover along with a few new machines, but most of what students have access to is woefully out-dated and inferior to the tools I had access to at Century Community College. The renovated portion of the building does have some nice meeting spaces you can reserve, and the office people are generally very helpful and generous with their time.
