My name is Alberto and I went into the emergency room last night evening for chest and acute throat pain and the experience was amazing. From the beginning (triage) nurse Brittney (she was on it like I haven't seen!), to Jerry, Kathleen, Omar, the PA and Dr. Larson to the admin staff... I mean the whole team was amazing, they were fast, responsive, sensitive, thorough and caring. In the couple of hours that I spent I did not see a second of slacking. They guide you step by step guide you and keep you informed of whats going on. They also use a wall chart to give you all the info so you can keep your loved ones informed. Yep, this is my place without a doubt. The BEST ER EVER !!! G-d bless you's guys! Alberto

I recently underwent a bilateral prophylactic mastectomy and the staff, from pre-admit testing all the way to discharge, were very kind and courteous. Everyone made sure that my family and I were well taken care of! So happy to have had this team helping me through such a big procedure :)

I had my baby here and my birthing experience was wonderful. The nurses and assistants who took care of me after my delivery were so kind and helpful. The only complaint I do have is with one nurses assitant in particular, like a month or 2 before I had my baby, I was having really bad pains and I thought I was in labor. So I went in. The nurse's assistant or medical assistant that was "helping me" was so rude and insensitive. Her name is Katie. She told me to stop crying and "breathe right" cause I was going to "hyperventilate" (This was my first pregnancy) so I didn't really know what all to expect. They asked me if I wanted to stay over night just so that they could monitor both me and the baby, of course I said yes. But she told them I said I wanted to go home. This really scared me because I just felt that I was going to have a bad birthing experience once it was actually time. Because of how she handled things when I was there. Thank goodness when the time came and I went in for delivery she was not one of the assistants that helped me. I did see her there but I didn't have to deal with her.

My wife came to this ER three times in September. The first visit early in the month was for an emotional comment she made to a doctor's office out of frustration with her CPAP. Several weeks later she was experiencing severe shortness of breath. She was at a doctor's office for this problem when it became so severe, they recommended she go to the ER. We took her to the nearest ER, this one. The ER made sure there were no major problems but failed to check for allergy issues. They sent her home with a Xanax prescription even though we complained that the problem had not been solved. (They had looked at her history at this ER earlier in the month and made their diagnosis based on that visit.) My wife struggled with shortness of breath throughout the weekend and when it became bad two days later , we went back to this ER (our mistake). They did testing to make sure nothing major was a problem. She received Benadryl for a CT scan that eased her breathing problem but they did not seem to notice this. A friend who is a PA suggested this could be allergies and we asked the doctor to try an inhaler or some other treatment for allergies. He refused saying she did not need that and then referred her to Green Oaks Psychiatric Hospital for dealing with the shortness of breath. We objected to this treatment recommendation but no one listened. We went home, tried an inhaler that was out of date and that solved the problem! We got a call the next day asking about the visits and I told them what had happened but nothing was done. When we got the bill for over $1,000 out of pocket for the two visits, I asked for a review of the quality of care. They refused to reduce our bill. Others have told us this ER is not very good. Find somewhere else to go if you need an ER. (Notice that there are far more 1 star reviews than any other number of stars reviews.) The staff treated us very well. The doctors were incompetent.

I could not have asked for a better birthing experience. Every nurse was so supportive during the process. I labored how I wanted to, and they were sensitive to that. They were so sweet and you just knew they genuinely love their job. When it came time for me to push, the nurse exhausted every idea to help me push my baby out. She worked so hard, tugging and pulling and lifting me to help push. She was so nurturing and uplifting during that time. When it was all over and my baby was born, she came to my bedside and said "As a mom, you are going to do hard things, but you did this. I don't ever want you to doubt yourself again" Without question, I will ALWAYS recommend Las Colinas to anyone having a baby. Everyone goes above and beyond to make you feel as comfortable and cared for as possible.
