This place has a lot of food specialty items. They also, sell more products from U.S. suppliers then any other store in area. Check end caps in non food departments for clearance items. Sign up for rewards programs to receive coupons. Rewards adds up for certain dollar amounts off next purchase. Meijer also sells cheaper items for lower prices (generic)but they are placed on lower areas of shelving or not at eye level where you can easily miss and only in smaller quantities. But I've notice no difference in taste. For example, they have 2%, 1% and whole milk named Penny Smart on the last shelf in cooler for $1.49. It can easily be missed under all the Meijer milk that sells for $2.49. They have great prices if you have time to shop and thoroughly look for generic, sale and clearance items.

I love this grocery store; however, I cannot award five stars because lately the lines has been extremely long regardless of the day or time of day. Other than that frustration I love this store. I've written corporate to encourage them to staff up a bit.

From the cashiers to the meat department and all the staff in-between, everyone at this store is very nice. The store itself is always clean and well organized. This is my main place to shop and I always have a great experience. The only issue I have ever had was with some fresh fruit (raspberries) that I didn't examine very well before purchasing. I made it home, opened them up and they were in bad shape. I understand it is part of selling fresh items and I normally inspect them but was in a hurry that day.

Greeters are always smiling, cashier's always ask you if you had any trouble finding anything. Store manager works with employee's too stock shelves as quickly as possible. I love shopping there.
