Meineke Car Care Center has been America’s local auto repair shop since 1972. Starting out as a muffler shop we have expanded to a full service car repair shop that performs services from car ac repair to exhaust repair to tire changes at our tire shop. I seldom give praise where it is not due….. These guys are my heroes. On a 2000 mile trip to Casper to view the Eclipse we started leaking power steering fluid, like gushing it. We pulled into Meineke to see if our trip was over. The crew examined the problem thinking the gear box was toast. After careful examination, they discovered the gearbox was fine and it was just a fitting on top that was corroded and leaking. That saved me $500. Thanks guys. They had a hell of a time getting the old rusted fitting out but succeeded and replaced it 15 minutes before closing and sent us on our way. We didn’t make it out of the parking lot and the brakes failed. Corroded brake line. They set up an appointment with the best brake shop in town, just a block away and helped us get the truck there. The story continues at Godfrey Brake Service & Supply. Great job guys, you saved the day. We did make it to the eclipse and it was totally weird. Absolutely worth it. Sunset in all directions at once with stars overhead. These guys rock, they worked their butts off to get us out the door before closing and did. I highly recommend them. Kelley, give these guys a raise.

This place is the best.  Driving across South Dakota from east to west,  I had broken down outside Chamberlain.  A car dealer in Chamberlain,  telling me I needed a new catalytic converter for my 14-year-old car,  gave me a quote for $1,100.   I made it to Rapid City instead,  where a local auto parts store recommended Meinike.  I am glad they did.  Jeff and Jeff  
there gave me a new catalytic converter for $650,  And they did it in a short overnight time frame,  giving me a loaner car overnight at no charge more than the gas I used.  These guys are terrific.

They do a good job for a good price. I have been taken my care here for a while now and they seem to let me know when other things need attention beyond just an oil change.

Absolutely avoid these people! You will be wasting your money. Took my car in because I could suddenly hear grinding on the brake. It was a Saturday and I knew if I kept driving on it that it would destroy my rotor. Not only did they charge me for repairs that they didn't do, but they never explained any of it. After weeding through the rather large bill, I decided to give them a call, but nobody would answer the phone and there was no option to leave a message. Two months later I found myself in another shop having the original problem fixed AGAIN, along with additional parts replaced because of the horrible job they did. The reputable mechanic I ended up going to was shocked at the horrible job they did. Don't even consider this place. It will cost you twice as much.
