Since his graduation from Nova Southeastern University School of Law in 1999, Lawrence Meltzer has dedicated his career to criminal law. He is a former Assistant State Attorney with the Broward County State Attorney’s Office where he began as a prosecutor, trying over 60 jury trials during his time in the County Court Division. In 2003 he was promoted to Felony Prosecutor, where he quickly advanced through the Felony Trial Unit, prosecuting cases of extreme violence, including manslaughter, murder and drug trafficking.
Steven Bell earned his juris doctor in 2004, from Nova Southeastern University’s Sheppard Broad Law Center, where he was one of the elite few students elected to the Nova Southeastern University Law Review, and recognized by being published in the criminal law field before graduation. Upon graduation, he was hired on as an Assistant Public Defender in Broward County where he defended and tried hundreds of cases.
