From what I understand this restaurant has recently come under new management. If my most recent visit had been my first it probably would have been my last; as what was once a great restaurant has now dropped into the realm of abysmal food. For some reason the kitchen here believes that buffalo chicken wings includes adding at least 80% butter to the buffalo sauce. Is buffalo sauce getting so expensive that it needs to be cut with butter? I'm not totally convinced. Other complaints include the garlic bread having a rubber like consistency and the coleslaw tasting like metal. So this begs the question "what happened?" I'm not just saying this to be harsh. Back in 2014 I felt that this restaurant was so good that I had them cater my wedding. So clearly there is an issue here. On the bright side, the restaurant was for the most part spotless and the service was decent. Enough to resurrect a second star for this review.

Visited this restaurant with my husband. He got the half chicken and I got the ribs. Very tasty! Everything is homemade from scratch, fresh daily. The food is great but what makes the restaurant is the friendly service. Everyone talks to you and makes you feel welcome. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem.

Great food, great service, friendly atmosphere. I loved it! Fantastic southern food. It was the best pulled pork I've had in ages.
