I brought my companys vehicle in to get a tire check and I have to say I am super pleased with the exceptional customer service. Not only did Rogelio the manager on duty help me out with my vehicle but helped me feel at home by offering excellent hospitality by directing me to there cozy waiting area and free coffees always good :)! He kept me up to date with the process of the vehicle and ensured I received professional feedback. Merchants tires team in Vienna is great and I will make sure to refer others to this facility. Thank you Merchants tire & team!

I usually go to their Fairfax location, which has pretty good service managers. Today, I had to go to Vienna location because Fairfax location was closed for some reason and I had to get tires mounted and alignment done today.
The service manger here is very mono-tone and unfriendly. Also have some attitude. I brought high-pressure valve stems with tires because when them (yes same Vienna location) install my tires 3 years ago, they did not have high-pressure valve stems. Back then, it was the same service manager with same attitude (the reason why I don't go here). They charged for valve stems, yet the mechanic here choose not to install them because they didn't have any. When I asked why I wasn't done, the service manger gave me refund after some arguments. 
This is why I brought my own valve stems. This time, the service manager said they have the valve stems. But, since I brought valve stems anyway, I thought they would install my valve stems and not charge me for theirs. When I saw him entering valve stems in the cost, I asked why am I charged when I have my own valve stems. The service manger shut me out yelling "I'm not using your valve stems, you can use it some other time". 
Then I was told it would be done by 3PM (I brought it in a little after 10 AM). I called around 3 PM asking if it was done, the answer was no. Then I called around 5PM, it is still not done, but it is in the bay and will be done by 5:30. I went there around 5:30, it still wasn't done and they were just starting to change tires. When everything was done and ready, it was around 6:20. As I was waiting, I watched how the mechanic was working. He was in no hurry and working extra slow past their closing time. 
I did not see them doing alignment, so I asked if the alignment was done and I was told it was done before changing tires. I told him it should been done after tires were changed since that would be more accurate then badly worn out and mismatching tires I had. The service manager's reply was "what are you talking about? it makes no difference at all." While that is true to some extent, I doubt it will be as accurate as with new tires. I wonder if they even bother checking tire pressure before doing alignment since they knew they will be changed. 
It was getting late and way past their closing time, so I just told him I'll come back if anything is wrong with alignment. It probably won't have noticeable difference anyway, but it was the service manager's attitude that pissed me off.

Great customer service! Everything was accomplished in a timely manner! Very friendly and professional  staff. Got an incredible deal on my tires. Very happy customer!

This place is absolutely horrid. If I could give zero stars, I would. Family has been going here for 25 years up until now. Their commissioned workers will tell you that so much work needs to be done with your car when in actuality it doesn't, despite going in and asking for a simple repair. They will also damage your car and claim innocence. I've had grease left on leather surfaces and insulation panels punctured by their techs. They also use bargain and third party inferior parts. I've asked for alignment and after I asked for a report, found out they never did it and charged anyways. They are shifty crooks. Also, the attitude of the employees is really despicable and customer service leaves something to be desired. The manager Henry Grady was rude and had an attitude. Go to Samsung, AK, or PT Auto. Stay away from NTB, Merchants, and Tire Kingdom at all costs!!

Last week had a terrible experience at Merchants.  Today was totally different.  Different person in front, very polite.  My tire was leaking air, they fixed the nail hole in an hour at no charge (I had purchased the tires there).  I wasn't going to ever go back, but they are open on Sunday which is convenient.
