3 1/2 hours is pretty good for a very busy day at the emergency room. They even apologized for the wait. For what was done from registration to triage to blood work and an ultrasound, and finally with an IV with super dooper antibiotic, this was great work by all the staff. I thought everybody was very efficient and kind during the process. After all nobody wants to go to the emergency if it can be helped. Good staff of people. Very satisfied

I delivered my baby here and my husband and I were blown away by the intimacy, kind staff, efficiency - just everything. There was a grumpy nurse or two in the mix, but that was more than made up for by the rest of the staff. We left confident in our ability to successfully pump and breastfeed, and were educated by the nurses and lactation consultants on so many topics - they are a wealth of information. And I was amazed at the quality of the food. It was a really good! Best birth experience. Perfect? No. But really great. I'd recommend it this hospital to anyone.

My daughter had a bone fracture. Urgent care had taken x-rays and suggested and directed us to Mercy emergency. I handed over the xray cds to the Mercy emergency ward. By checking that x-ray, they could have saved our time and directed to the right place. They wasted around 4 hours of critical time, taking xrays again and giving IV, sedation etc and finally said, we can't do this case. You can go to Children hospital. We lost the critical time and arrived children hospital after midnight, where we had to wait for the next morning for surgery. I had to pay only @ $1000 for the children hospital after the surgery, however Mercy charged $1500. They only caused delay and pain for the patient and charged much more than, who fixed it nicely. Honestly the worst place to go to get help for major cases for children emergency.

I am a physician and I came here to support a friend. The check in process was hectic but they seemed to have an ED full of mildly injured teenagers. At triage time a Physician assistant decided no examination was necessary to treat her condition. This is a very, very poor practice. I asked if the patient could have an examination and then he touched her lightly with his fingers in the lower back area. No reflex tests. No leg raising tests etc etc. A strong anti-inflammatory was prescribed without even asking for a medication history. An X-ray was obtained to evaluate a traumatic fall one week previously only because I insisted on it This place provides substandard care with an attitude. Be smart and never come here.

Unnecessary tests, Awefully long waiting time, and poor hygiene! Absolutely appalling. If I ask a question about the purpose of the tests or billing, they respond with "I don't have the information." Then who does?
