MetLife Stadium

Story

MetLife Stadium is an American sports stadium located in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It is part of the Meadowlands Sports Complex and serves as the home stadium for two National Football League (NFL) franchises: the New York Giants and the New York Jets. The stadium is owned by the MetLife Stadium Company, a joint venture of the Giants and Jets, who jointly built the stadium using private funds on land owned by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority. The stadium opened as New Meadowlands Stadium in 2010. In 2011, MetLife, an insurance company based in New York City, acquired the naming rights to the stadium. At a construction cost of approximately $1.6 billion, it is the most expensive stadium ever built and is the second-largest stadium in the NFL in terms of seating capacity.MetLife Stadium is the only NFL stadium shared by two clubs since the 2000s. Los Angeles' Staples Center (the Clippers and the Lakers) of the National Basketball Association (NBA) is the only other facility to currently house two teams from the same sports league in the United States.

Coming from a Patriots fan, this is one of the best stadiums in the NFL. The parking is great compared to some other places I've been as long as your willing to pay for it, but even if you aren't, there's plenty of public transportation options. It is obviously very nice since it is a newer stadium. I love the bar that they have on the concourse at the 50 yard-line so you can get a beer and not miss too much of the game.

If you are a football fan then MetLife stadium is the place for you. Each seat gives you a great view of the field. The fans also add to your enjoyment of the games no matter who you are rooting for. They serve very good food and drinks that you will certainly enjoy.

this was a cool stadium...I honestly don't care about sports but I really like that they opened up the field to host my sister's Big Brothers Big Sisters event here and invited hundreds of kids onto the field and gave them tours or the locker rooms and awesome swag. clearly it is run by some good people with big hearts.

If you commissioned someone to build a monument to mediocrity, MetLife stadium would be the proposed project. There's no fantastic design at play here, they made a grey building with grey seats around a field. The most prominent feature is the amount of corporate branding that can be stuffed into such a non-descript backdrop. It has plenty of food options, which is nice, but they seem to get worse each season while charging criminally exorbitant prices. If you can find the one stand on the mezzanine that sells Miller High Life cans for five bucks you may be happy, but I haven't seen it in the last year.
