Fresh, locally made bread. I haven't found a better bakery for local bread, baked daily. Bonus, they have a punch card and don't use plastic bags! I buy my bread here weekly and love it. It's deliciously fresh and lasts almost all week before it gets too hard.

I enjoy visiting Metropol bakery for weekend brunch. I generally order a breakfast sandwich on a bun with coffee. It is always delicious and fast. Their bread is amazing, just what you would hope for from a local bakery. One year I pre-ordered rolls for Christmas for a large gathering. They came through and everyone was really happy with the result. Their desserts always look amazing and I look forward to trying them all.

Definitely worth the drive ☺ Best tasting pastries/breads/meals this side of town. The atmosphere and staff couldn't be any better. Definitely on our rotation list......

IMHO - far superior to Sweet Life. Admittedly the selection might not be as extensive, but as far as consistent quality, Metropol delivers.

I'm a snob when it comes to bread. The Ciabatta and the baguette are the best in town. Haven't had bread like this since I moved here from Europe. pies and cakes are very good too. It's on the expensive side, I'm not used to paying $5.75 for bread but if you really want bread the way it's meant to be, this is the place.
