I went in this store and the line was extremely long due to the credit card machine being down, it took almost 30 minutes for them to fix the machine approximately 4-5 customers walked out. I waited patiently and when I asked for a nose ring he stated they don’t have any, the other lady tried to assist and then he followed up with you can go across the street for the nose ring I stated if that’s the case I can go across the street for all of my items. That is the most disturbing customer service I have ever experienced, especially after my patience of waiting 30 minutes for their machine to work. I will never go here again due to the lack of respect that was given and oh by the way they did have the nose ring, the lady was able to find it. To all customers, just go across the street. As that’s what the owner of Mia’s told me.

The man that work the register has no manners at all. Won't be going back. There are too many hair stores in Hartford for me to go back. When I went in the girl asked if I needed help. My answer was no. Every time I looked up she was at the end of the aisle watching me. When our eyes connected again she asked again if I needed help which not 2 minutes before I said no. If the paper in front of me had not said no refund I would have requested one after I'm talking to him and he waved me of.

This place has a HUGE selection of wigs & hair to choose from. The store is kinda messy. The shelves are PACKED with overflowing product...things are misplaced... and their was a huge pile of product in the back laying on the floor waiting to be put away. Your allowed to try on 3 hair pieces for 50 cents.... and they allow you to do it in the back of the store where there is only a full length mirror propped up against the shelf....and a messy floor around you. they also had a very tiny vanity with a weird bench to sit on. And when you sit on the bench it doesnt support any weight so you end up falling right in. (Im used to beauty land in new london where they actually have a solon set up in the back of the store for potential customers and customers.... and have women who are really dedicated to helping you make you look your best.) so i was thrown off by the propped up full length mirror. The girls that were working there were helpful but not too friendly. As i was trying on my 3 wigs the workers there were really off doing their own thing... and nobody was giving me advice on what looked best. Or helping me make a good choice on which wig works for me. I was alone trying on wigs with my husband near by. I ended up buying a floor model in which i got 10% off....prices were decent. Would i buy here again? Yes i would. But i highly suggest the store makes the “trying on” experience alot better than a full length mirror in the back of the store. Girls put alot of money into looking good. We should feel pampered and beautiful while buying products from you... and should be offered more than a propped up mirror.

I went into Mia's Hair and Beauty supply, because I needed to finish my hair. I already had hair in my head and asked the hair person to help me find a match. I had her feel the hair and told her what kind it was; she said they did not carry that certain kind and preceded to show me hair that was close to what I needed. I figured she was experienced and knew what she was talking about , so I brought two packages of hair a 16 and an 18 inch to complete my hair (crochet) When I got to the salon, my hair dresser could not use the hair for two reasons, one :the hair was to silky for crochet and two: it was to short!!! I went back to mia's to see if I could get a store credit or get something else. When I got there one of ownwers was hanging earrings and told another person to help me! I spoke to the person that was helping me and she said no returns or credit. sign by register ( I never saw that sign) I just brought two packages of hair that was not cheap the day before and now I have no use for it!! I don't live in Hartford, so the time I spent going back was a WASTE!!! I have been a customer for years and that visit left me feeling some kind of way. It has been a week and I need to purchase hair, but I will have to find a new place, because I will not be doing business there any more!! If a package has not been opened, why not give store credit, the credit can only be used in your store, so you are not losing any money!!!!
