Service tonight was great as always, the staff definitely work together as a team to keep things running smooth. The chef and owners were out and about making sure things were going well. Food was delicious and drinks too!
First, I’ll share that the food and ambiance are not what I'm taking issue with at this time. This review is to take issue with a waiter named George, who was not attentive on three separate occasions and subsequently extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and accusatory during a phone conversation with him. A friend and I had dinner at Michael’s on three separate occasions in the past month. On the first occasion, we asked George for more water due to our table being outside as we preferred, and it was a warm summer evening. He never followed through so we moved on and paid our bill. On the second occasion, we asked to see a dessert menu, which George never followed up on, and again we wrapped up our evening and paid the bill. On the third occasion, we finished dinner and ordered freshly made donuts for dessert and two coffees. George brought the donuts, but never brought the coffee. So again, we paid the bill, but split it this time and left. On all three occasions we still left a 20% tip. Upon returning to our separate homes, we both noticed we were overcharged for our most recent dinner. When my friend called and spoke to Dimitri and Max, she was told an adjustment would be made. After a week went by and the adjustment wasn’t made, I called and George was the one who took the call. His story basically insinuated that my friend was lying and that she was never told an adjustment would be made. I then brought to his attention, that on three separate occasions as our waiter, he wasn’t accurate regarding his service to us. I suggested his forgetfulness when providing service to us, is part of what is happening with our bill. When I continued trying to work this out with him, he replied, "Oh, so because I didn't bring you water you're complaining?" He then refused to cooperate and threatened to Blacklist us from the premise, claiming that perhaps the restaurant wasn’t for us. I shared with him that I perceived he was only acting this way now because he was offended and not capable of reconciling imperfections as a waiter, and receive constructive criticism, and perhaps grow from that. He then hung up. All issues aside, whether you agree or disagree with a customer, you never insinuate someone is a liar, you most certainly don’t threaten no-service in the future because you can't conduct yourself professionally, and most importantly, you don’t hang up on people just because you’re not in agreement with what you hear. Perhaps the customer service business isn’t for George.
All I can say is Wow! This place is amazing. From the minute you walk in the door everyone is so welcoming! The ambiance is wonderful. Our waiter George was very attentive. The food was out of this world as were our drinks. Three of us had the short ribs and one had the swordfish. The ribs just melted in your mouth. This is our second time here and we just love it. I am going to recommend this to all my friends. Thank you Michael’s Valley Grill for a wonderful evening!
Husband and I agreed this was an outstanding dinner, food, service, ambiance. Waiter and even chef cared about our feedback. Lamb lollipops unique and wonderful! Salads, flat iron steak and wedge with shrimp just right! Will definitely recommend to family and friends.
Wow! We just went last night and the steak was one of the best my husband has ever had. I had the pork chop special and it was incredible too. The service was great, and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. Parking: Easy and close parking.
This was a great restaurant and I must say, the service was SPECTACULAR! Post pandemic service has gone down hill. I get it- I was in the industry for years. But this place restored my faith in genuine GREAT service! Food was good but service will be the reason why I go back!Food: 4/5
What an Amazing Restaurant....it makes you feel like you are eating in Europe...cozy and romantic! The owners and staff make you feel like your family and very special the the talented Chef comes out and also greets you. The food is Absolutely Delicious and melt in your mouth .... the Filet and Swordfish are my 2 faves!! I love that they partner with Holy Trinity so they have so many different choices for dessert as well!! Bussers are so attentive and....I adore Chris a waiter there who Always remembers the little things I like!! It is more than a Fabulous meal it is a Joyous Happy experience with Max, George and Dimetri making sure of that!! Reasonable prices and their main menu has so many yummy entrees but love how they are always offering new specials!! Definitely a must to dine there!!!!
I came here out of the blue just looking around on google maps. I came in wjth low expectation and left stunned. Amazing food, best filot mignon I've ever had. Expensive at $50 but so worth it. I don't normally get desert but after the amazing calamari and dinner I just had to try the bacon waffle icecream desert and I was not disappointed. I gave the atmosphere. 4 only because the interior could use a bit touchup but you could tell they were trying to make it fancy. The chef came out as well and you could tell he loved cooking and satisfying people with his food. Will be coming here again!
Classy, superb food and attention to customers. Doesn't get much better around these parts. Recommend it highly. JerryFood: 5/5
Love the new owners! And the food was incredible! Best dry rub I’ve ever had.
