We ordered our wedding cake through Brent at Mitchel's Cake & Dessert Company, and were extremely happy with how everything turned out. Brent was amazing to work with throughout our entire planning process. He was quick to respond to all our inquires and was very accommodating to the changes we had wanted to make a few months prior to the wedding date. Our cake was in the strawberry flavour and it was a huge hit! We received a ton of compliments from our guests. Thank you Brent, for the delicious cake and beautiful cake, and being part of our special day. Would highly recommend and will certainly be back to order cupcakes for future events and cake for our anniversary!
I ordered my daughter's first birthday cake from Mitchel's and was not disappointed. The cakes were delicious and I look forward to using Mitchel's for other occasions. Through no fault of Mitchel's the rainbow broke but nonetheless the cakes were beautiful and tasted as great as they looked.
My fiancé was over the moon about his Fallout themed cake. I sent photos of similar cakes I’d seen online and Mitchel’s really delivered what I was hoping for! We discussed details by email but I left most of the design to them especially since they are the experts. The cake was moist my fiancé chose French vanilla and wasn’t too sweet which we loved!. Pickup was really easy and convenient : Thank you for making my fiancés 30th birthday so special! He said it’s the best cake he’s ever received.
I've ordered several cakes from Mitchel's in the past for big life events so getting our wedding cake from them was no different. We ended up choosing a 3 tier for our main wedding cake with maple 5" , lemon with raspberry filling 8" and marble cake 12" and carrot cake without nuts 8" and cream cheese frosting for the grooms cake. We asked for a cake large enough to serve approximately 100 guests and it was the perfect amount. Our venue did slice our cake and they were larger than a typical cake serving slice as well! The cake was absolutely delicious, great flavour and crumb to the cake especially the maple and carrot cake! There was great communication with Brent and was prompt to answer any of my questions I had throughout the process. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious buttercream cake!
I rarely post negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my disappointment this time, hoping it helps someone else. Our decision to order from this place was solely based on the fantastic reviews. After explaining the design and flavor to Brent, he assured me that he understood without needing a picture for reference. Confident in his skills from his catalogue, we chose red velvet, my son's favorite, trusting it was "his thing." On the birthday date, we collected the cake, and despite its simple soccer field design, it had extremely poor finishing. I tried to stay optimistic, thinking the taste might compensate for the average appearance, but it only made matters worse! Guests, including kids, left their cakes unfinished, and the green icing stained their mouths. Everything else at the birthday was excellent, but the cake ruined it. Afterward, friends confirmed it tasted like any $30 cake, despite us paying $105. Attached are pictures illustrating the disappointing cake finish we received. I am genuinely beyond disappointed.
Our cake for our wedding by Mitchel's Cake and Dessert Company was delicious and beautiful! We received many compliments from our guests about how the cake looked and tasted fantastic. Also, we loved that we had the option to choose two different flavours for our wedding cake, which worked out perfectly since my husband and I had two different favourite flavours when we went to our tasting. The whole process of choosing a design and ordering a cake was effortless, as Mitchel’s Cake and Dessert Company handled everything from start to finish. They delivered the cake to our venue and set it up as well. We didn’t have to lift a finger! I highly recommend going with Mitchel’s Cake and Dessert Company!

We ordered a two-tier jungle themed chocolate cake. The cake looked amazing, the decorations were so impressive. Unfortunately it collapsed in on itself before we made it to the party. We were very careful with it on the drive. I could have forgiven that if it at least tasted good but the cake was so dry and barely tasted of chocolate. I expected a lot better after paying $230. I did send an e-mail with feedback. They responded explaining how they secure the tiers and said it wouldn't collapse without force. They did not respond to my subsequent email.
