Avoid this practice at all costs. I came here with a patient and found their practice and manner to be unprofessional. The clinic is shoddy. The door to their clinic didn't even have an automatic accessible entry button- and this is supposed to be for people with spine injuries? Interior decor aside, the doctor's manner and advice did not inspire confidence and seemed to be all about doing business ($, literally), not seeing the patient in front of him. It's also odd how all the positive reviews are 5 stars and just a line if at all. Do believe the negative reviews- they're true. The positive ones seem fixed based on our experience. Save your money and more importantly your body and life, listen to the advice people have shared here, and go somewhere else.

My son recently moved to Southfield, MI from Atlanta GA. He is unable to walk without assistance, and has several herniated disk. He suffers from amnesia, fainting spells, and damaged eardrums. He takes several medications. We were expecting to be helped by Dr. Karl Freydl. His primary doctor referred him to Michigan Head and Spine(Novi, MI location). He made his first appointment 3-4 weeks prior to Demcember 11th. prior to The first appointment; the doctor office claimed to have not recieved his medical records. His primary doctor sent the medical records again. The same problem occurred. His memory is not good and he was confused the time of the first appointment and we rescheduled. The next appointment was scheduled a month out. We arrived to the appointment 5 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment which was at 8am. Once again the office did not have the medical records. Tearsa the front desk personal informed us that we should of brought the information(medical records) with us, and would not provide me with her superiors information. She stated that there was no case manager or human resources, and there was not a chain of authority. (That is not protocol for the transferring of medical records by the way). Doctor Karl Freydl then came to the front desk and said, "I will see him anyway I don't have time to wait I have things to do". He then told us that he needs us to bring my sons medical records and he would make an assessment. I told him that this method of care is unprofessional and an assessment of his records should have been done before the appointment. Dr. Karl freydl then said, " WHAT DO YOU WANT DRUGS"!!! I and my son were DISGUSTED with the LACK OF CARE. What my son needed was a neurologist to help with his fainting spells. What my son needed was an ENT specialist to help with his hearing. What my son needed was to resume his physical therapy! What my son needed was to be seen by a psychiatrist. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CARE WE RECEIVED AND THE WORDS OF DOCTOR KARL FREYDL.

Terrible. My wife has been seeing doctor Glisky for years . She has to see the doc every month to get her refill. The doc only works one day a week now, so my wife tries to make her next appointment while she is at her current appointment, and they can't get her in for 60 days ! Her scrip runs out in 30 days ! So every month we have to call and leave messahes, and never get a call back. Eventially we get a nurse and its a fight with the staff to get a refill , because they have to send email to the doc, and it takes days to hear back , all the while my wife is in pain. But it is way to hard to switch, so youre captive. Please don't start down this path.

I'm embarrassed I spent time and money at MHSI. The waiting room is positively low-budget, with uncomfortable pleather chairs and no magazines for waiting family and friends. (These chairs are hardly suited for anyone experiencing pain, which would be typical at MHSI.) The assistant who brought me back asked me to step on a rickety scale which displayed at least three weights. "Mmmkay", she said - I have no idea which weight she selected. When the doctor came in, I was standing and fidgeting because of extreme pain. After an introduction, he said, "what can I do for you?" I only found this odd because I was in obvious pain and at that moment it was not a time to spend with rhetorical questions. After a few minutes, I was told I clearly needed surgery. I needed it quickly, as i was in danger of further damage - most of which I couldn't comprehend since this was a blow to me. HOWEVER, my surgery could be delayed for two months if I were to go to the MHSI physical therapy clinic, the cost of which I don't know. I'm sure there are good people at MHSI, but my impression was that it is a treatment-prescribing facility that utterly ignores real care or patient interaction. My appointment could not have lasted more than ten minutes, but I notice on my insurance claim the description is for a 45 minute appointment. I was looking for help and care, and I left with confusion and fear. A disappointment and setback, for sure.
