Heads up warning it's a cash only establishment. But I did enjoy the small diner atmosphere it provides. Right across the street is legendary Camp Randall Stadium. It is street parking only so you have to feed a parking meter. The food isn't top end quality, but after all I'm entirely sure it's meant to attract U of W Madison students in more so than anything. And I'm sure that food here is a big step from the crummy dining hall. Fair prices too, with friendly service.

Fun, vintage atmosphere. Great food at a great price. Often crowded with a line that has to wait outside because the place is so small. Definitely worth going to though!

Next to the football stadium, this is a Madison classic. The friendly and reassuring atmosphere of a diner. Many options for food -which is all above average- and big portions. Worth a try, if you can find a place to park!

huge portions and classic feel. Staff is very active and friendly. Wonderful malts and coffee cake. Just get there by 9 to avoid a line.

Be warned this is a busy place and the waiting line is outside, so dress appropriately. The food is above average diner fair with a Wisconsin twists. The interior is dated, the staff is super nice and the service prompt. Everyone loved their omelettes. Kudos for having vegetarian choices.
