Story

The Midlothian Athletic Club (MAC) is a locally owned and operated family fitness center located in Chesterfield County, Virginia, near Johnston Willis Hospital. Our amenities include: indoor tennis, outdoor tennis, tennis lessons and clinics, racquetball, pickleball, cafe, weight room, cardio machines, personal training, full program of group exercise classes featuring Les Mills' programs and Spinning® indoor cycling, indoor pool, outdoor pool, water park, sauna, steam room, kids' club.

These people messed up my billing information on a contract and threw me into collections. Which I paid off. Now they are demanding more money. I already paid off the contract with collections and I never asked for a new one or renewed the old one. So while they are still trying to charge me, they will not cooperate with me at all. I go in and ask about it. They tell me that billing can only help me. Though billing only is open till 4 PM. They were supposed to call me about two times, which never happened. I called them and never got a call back. No one seems to work there or something. As well as the kid behind the counter told me in front of the guy I'm sure is in charge in his very own words. "I can't stop someone from working out here just because someone shows up as inactive." So basically what you can do here is get a year contract. (As long as nothing is messed up.) Pay it off. Then the gym is FREE for the rest of you life. Just keep a key and keep going. They will not stop you from what they said. I now have a membership at Gold's Gym since all this has happened. I thought when I paid off my contract with the MAC in collections that I would be free to leave, but these guys seem to want to scam me for more money that I obviously do not owe. (Update: Shortly after posting this, they gave me a call and agreed to cancel everything and remove me from the system. Leaving this review incase anyone else has trouble. This was a long fight that last a few months and I am glad they finally took care of it.)

Loved the outdoor pool. There's a zero step entrance to the child's pool and some great water fountains that keep kids entertained. Tons of seating, shaded and full sun, for the adults. Water slides for the big kids and parents (ages 5 and up). Plenty of tables for birthday parties. Inside is an Olympic pool, child care center, gym, and plenty more. Check it out if you live nearby!

More affordable than ACAC, probably half, but not as modern. The outdoor swimming park is great. The pricing structure is a bit of a gimmick and you will most likely end up not going as much as you thought you would. Our family feels that we get our money's worth. A few exercise machines were broken. Racket sports are good here. They have a little kids area.

Reliability of machine and steam room etc. Are questionable but the management is trying their best to overcome them. Unfortunately there is always something new popping up.

It's good but they need to clean up more. Dirty towels are on the floor all the time
