A fantastic old school breakfast joint. It's looked this way since the 70s. Some of the seats are patched. It looks worn. But the coffee is endless, the staff are super helpful everyone gets called "hon" and the food is amazing. I had the best omlette of my life here: perfectly cooked and seasoned. Phenomenal. Excellent value for money. Go if you are ever in Ridgecrest, it's a gem. They don't take credit cards so bring cash, or go to the ATM across the street first.
We enjoyed our lunch here. It’s a great place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Very affordable price for good quality food!
Excellent service, excellent food and great prices! We really enjoyed our breakfast! This is a classic, good old fashioned diner! We'll definitely be back!Food: 5/5
Classic diner fare at reasonable prices, pancake was awesome
Been there twice this week and cleaned the plate twice. Simple, good food served in large portions. Friendly staff and reasonable pricing. No complaints
Amazing breakfast, simple homey food, great service and reasonable prices perfect portion for hungry people
Excellent server "Sue" & nice, general coffee shop food & atmosphere. Ordered eggs, oatmeal, etc. No complaints. If you're looking for a coffee shop like your grandparents went to, this is the one. If you're looking for something with up to date or trendy food options, this is not the one so don't complain. It gets 5 stars for being exactly what we were looking for.
Small diner with very local feel and great service. It may not look like much from the outside but this high desert cafe is a time machine to the past. The decor and layout is mid-century cafe with what looks like all original furnishings. Maybe reupholstered sometime during the Carter Administration, it is nostalgic without trying to be. Food is good without pretension or much flair, but this isn’t that type of restaurant; burgers, breakfasts, comfort food. What sets this little cafe apart was the service; welcoming without being sappy or fake. Great little spot.
Great food. Fantastic servers and lower prices than most places for a quality experience.
Amazing place with amazing people. I've never had any experience like it anywhere else and I try to go there at least 3 times a week. They are cash only, but as a result it's about $17 or so for an incredibly large breakfast and large amounts of coffee. On weekends when I go in, due to me doodling on napkins the waitress will sometimes give me a stack of napkins so I have more room for everything. Seriously, the best place in California, and I'll deeply miss everything about it as I move away.
