Lugos grill never disappoints us. We’ve eaten here plenty of times. Staff is always friendly and professional and food always taste good.
The first server was excellent, came out with water and nachos with salsa and took our orders, and was very pleasant. Appatiser came out, was good but massive and deepfried, way too much for 1 person, and greasy. When I asked the server if the shrimp were pan-fried or deep-fried, he seemed confused about the question and simply said fried. Unfortunately, they came out heavily battered and deep-fried. My steak was clearly cooked by a newly promoted dish washer as there was no consistency at all, i ordered a ribeye medium rare, it came out blue rare to well done, the fat was still white and not rendered at all. I was pretty hungry, so I ate it anyway. The mashed potatoes were clearly instant potatoes as they were dry and chalky, didn't expect fresh, but they missed the mark. Considering I modified my order and got extra stuff, I was only able to eat the steak, which was barely edible. The rest was a write-off. A second server came out to collect the payment and seemed confused who was due change or what they even ordered, assumed one member of our party was tipping 75% and we ended up waiting 10 minutes to get their change. I spent the rest of my night feeling ill from the greasiness and ultimately disappointed in my choice of dining facility coolectively our group of 7 was dissapointed. On our way out, we ran into a group of our colleagues attempting to go to the restaurant for dinner, and we recommended against it. For the most part, the servers were very pleasant and the atmosphere wasn't the worst place I've been just terrible food... the free nachos and salsa were pretty good though. Vegetarian options: None existent as if vegetarians are an after thought and side salads or melted cheese on stuff is sufficient.
Post pandemic update: Decided to try a club sandwich. I paid how much for this single slice of turkey? $11. I also have an unknown expense for the addition of cheese. I haven't seen the bill yet. So, I used to eat here 4 or 5 days a week. Miguel's service is what made it worthwhile. The food was ok, not amazing, but reliable. Every time we order something suffers from cross contamination like onions in the pancakes or tuna on the enchiladas. The salad bar was removed a while back. It wasn't huge but it was an improvement over the iceberg side salad. Today I got to see new menus. They included price increases of $1-2 per entree so I'm done... This food isn't worth what they're charging. Update: Today they let a big dog in. Not a service animal, just a big old dog. Wtaf?

Lugo's is a fabulous place. It's family owned and operated. The staff is friendly and fast. Everytime I go there I'm welcomed with a genuine attitude. Great place to go to eat really good food.Food: 5/5
I can honestly say Lugos is a great place to get a,big meal at a good price to fill you up. Pretty much always you're greeted and seated quickly. Not a moment to soon the server will come by and ask what you want to drink. Usually I get coffee regular or decaffeinated and it's pretty good/hot. They'll give you regular half and half creamers and vanilla flavored. It doesn't take long for the server to come back to take your food order either. I've usually done brunch and it's not to busy but some days it is. The wonderful thing is the food comes out fast and is delicious. I can't express in full how much I love the country burrito smothered in gravy and topped with chorizo. Don't be afraid to try the breakfast torta either! Both are very large and can be shared for two. Another wonderful thing is the servers are always on top of topping off your coffee and making sure everything is OK. Overall if you're in Ridgecrest and looking for a delicious meal and friendly atmosphere swing by Lugos. P.S. for the burger lovers the bacon cheeseburger is delicious. Also the margaritas will not disappoint you ; They also have fried ice cream!
Ordered the top sirloin steak here the other day, medium rare. I was served frozen veggies, powdered instant mash potatoes with canned gravy and boxed minestrone soup. My steak was not properly cooked, it was just seared on the outside, cold and raw on the inside I think they may have been cooking them from frozen. After messing up my parties checks the waiter just forgot about me; I ended upgoing to a separate waiter to close out my check. I won't be coming back; who ever is running this place just doesn't care about anything.
Pretty good food and friendly service. I go to a lot of different places to eat and I just had a good feeling when I walked in the door. Very inviting atmosphere. If I ever return to this area I will come here again.
Rough charm around the edges but the food my wife & I ordered was pretty good. I got the pastrami sandwich which was well seasoned and flavorful with a side of perfectly cooked fries. Drinks are standard fare but our happy hour margaritas were huge! Our only complaints were the bathrooms and tables. The restrooms need renovation as they look and feel a little run down. The tables could also use better cleaning as ours had black pepper spilled across it but I will say that the staff is very friendly and attentive to customer needs.
