Great sushi, ok service. Tempura could be less oily. It was crispy though. Would have given 5 starts, but it took 5 trips for the barkeep to understand my order.

We went for lunch today and was served by a girl named Maggie. Food was okay but was surprised when we were charged an extra dollar when we asked for salad instead of soup. Other near by restaurants gives it at no cost. Also I paid by cash and Maggie didn't give me the balance back. She assumed the total balance was the tip, which I never said. When I asked her for the balance she gave me less money ( which I realized after I came out of the restaurant).. I would have given her 18%-20% but gave her only 15%. but technically I have given her more.. she shouldnt assum things. These little little things spoil a nice lunch. Might not go back there again.

Extensive menu that isn't overwhelming. Quality food and some unique spins on traditional items. Cost is about average for Japanomerican restaurants in the area. Don't be daunted by it being underground, well decorated and very aesthetically pleasing.

Food delicious, and many pictures on the menu, which I always appreciate in a sushi restaurant. Slow service but really neat restaurant. We will definitely return.

We went on a Monday for lunch. They have a huge menu of "special" sushi rolls. Every thing was fresh. Flavor good, though not much assistance from the staff (we did not sit at the sushi bar, might have been better there. My wife and I both got a chirashi bowl, and they were served on plates instead of bowls. More like a sashimi plate with rice in the center. Prices were nothing to write home about. Not bad, just not spectacular
