Nice campground with a great view of the Mississippi river. Clean and quiet. Campground manager / host was the nicest and most personable I've ever encountered in my years of camping. Stopped by a couple of times to make sure all was well, cleaned out our fire pit after the previous people threw cans in it, and thanked us for coming when we left. Sites range in size from smaller to very large. I had a smaller space, and still had room for my truck and trailer both parked on the pad, about 60' combined length. Lots of pull-through spaces, which makes getting in and out quite a bit easier (not that backing in is terribly difficult though, just takes more time). Showers are completely adjustable water-temp wise and are not on timed "buttons" like many campground showers. Bathroom facilities were always clean while we were there. There is lots of stuff to do in Dubuque and the surrounding area too, so you don't have to stick to the campground all day. If you're into boating, fishing, or other water sports, this is a good place to camp with a boat ramp at the end of the park. I really don't have anything negative to say about the place at at all and will definitely return next season!

$18 a night including electricity, friendly check-in and great views of the Mississippi River. It's a walk to the bathrooms but showers are free (not coin operated). Occasional noise from trucks going across the nearby bridge and from trains running along the shore of the Wisconsin side. Bike/walking paths along the river. Great place to camp!

No fire pit or picnic table at our campsite. Told manager, but he never came back with either one. Neighbor on left very loud. Neighbor on right very nice couple. Couldn't see most of their fireworks show on 4th of July.

LOVE the park. Been going there for over 8 yrs. and will continue. Peaceful, enjoy watching the river traffic, trains, AND auto/truck traffic.

Clean park with a great view of the river. John is extremely nice and helpful. Gave me a personal tour of the grounds. I'll definitely stay again when in the area.
