Story

The Miller Funeral Home Group started with Bill Miller opening the East Dubuque Funeral home in 1975. In 2002, Bill and Dennis Kitchen, purchased the Steinke Funeral Homes in Galena and Scales Mound from Mr. and Mrs. Allen Steinke. The Steinke's had operated both homes for many years and for many years before that the homes had been operated by Bill Nash and Marv Schmadeke. Dennis Kitchen died in 2003 and Bill purchased the Kitchen interest and has operated all (3) locations since that time. Our deep roots in the community are a source of pride, as we grow side by side with the families we serve. We hope you will consider us your source for compassionate care and exemplary service.
